What is exactly happening at dunzo, detail?

So, the company has gone completely lean firing almost every senior developer, leaving only SE-1 and SE-2 along with few left managers. The company still hasn’t paid taxes as of now for last FY since september.

What was the reason dunzo failed in a nutshell? I mean zepto also is doing the same thing (which I know only exists until vc money is there). Did the unit economics fail miserably?

Well zepto from day 1 focused on only one vertical, whereas dunzo was divided into multiple businesses. Hence the chance of zepto surviving the industry is more as QCommerce is a big market and they expanded really well.

I really want Dunzo to survive. There is no direct alternative to Dunzo currently. Ordering from small shops is not done by any other startup. I use them regularly for meat delivery

Some people in the leadership quit.
Middle management people are quitting.
They shut down majority of the dark stores.
They are pivoting their business.
They are out of runway.

dunzo laid off ~20-25% of it's workforce today, calling it that they overhired, pretty pre-planned.
And coincidentally some dept. heads are on leave for the next few days, unavailable to answer their team.
I wonder why these people even take up the leadership roles if they can't step forward to answer.

I recently got an offer from Dunzo so I resigned from my current company and was serving my notice period. 3 weeks after resigning , Dunzo called and rescinded the offer.

 Also for safety @Coulson595 - ask existing company if you can be retained. You'll be stuck for 6 months minimum and thoda ijaat jayega, but papi pet et al. If they don't agree, get on the immediate joiner gravy train asap.

I was working with Dun and Bradstreet here in Hyderabad. Called yesterday to my workplace, and was told that I was being let go due to some restructuring. In plain terms you are fired. Once again handled really poorly, no advance notice nothing. Was not even prepared for it. Layoffs are inevitable but the least companies can do is to handle it better. They just don't understand that this only gives em negative image or maybe they don't care.

The ongoing layoffs are causing significant mental and financial strain. We're uncertain about receiving our dues. What legal avenues, like legal notices, have proven effective? Any suggestions for law firms or lawyers experienced in such cases?
