Ex-founder and married now

I guess a rant as well as seeking advice. I started my first company at the age of 22 right out of college. It was semi successful. Scaled it to a few crore in revenue but because of some issues had to close it down. Worked on a few products again which again did alright but not enough to giving me savings. This experience ranged from software to e-commerce. Building different products. I’m now 31, and started a biotech company about a year back. However stuff has been slow. I’ve barely any savings and funding in my space is scare. So it’s been small government grants. I’ve realised that if this doesn’t take off, after 10 years of struggle I probably need to look for a job atleast for a few years. (Won’t ever give up on starting up. I’m a fighter that way.) My resume is eclectic. I’ve done all sorts of stuff with mediocre success. But don’t have a defined skillset. (Like being a programmer for example). I guess one skillset I can say I have is identify and opportunity. Also I have tremendous stress tolerance and ability to work. What should I do? Should I eventually look for a job? If yes, honestly I don’t even know what job profile I’ll go for. Because I’ve never done a job ever. I’m confused. I’m not married and don’t plan to. For me me, running a company is everything and I’m willing to sacrifice everything else for it. (Includes not being married so that I don’t have pressure to maintain the lifestyle married life entails.) Sorry for the long post. Also great respect to you guys who’ve made it :) and also to the once struggling. It’s us who keep the economy ticking at great personal cost of health and finance. Fighters.

My husband wants kids am still not sure if I want them.. I want to build a startup have always been very ambitious. What should I do?

I am a '21 graduate from a Tier 1 college (old IIT) and have had short stints as product manager at a couple of startups. About a year back, I decided to startup but after a few months, realized that startup idea wasn't worth pursuing. Researched around a few startup ideas and finally landed upon a good one in D2C space. But the problem is financing. I don't have much saving and friends / family network wouldn't be able to finance this. I really want to pursue this idea but finance is becoming a hindrance. So started looking for job opportunities about 3 months back. I have been exploring work opportunities in product / founder office / EIR roles or other generalist role. Job hunt process has been frustrating to say the least. Getting very few calls. In most cases, people are ghosting after couple of rounds of interview or assignment. In some cases, after getting through 2-3 rounds, I got to know that opening has been closed temporarily. Most HRs don't even have the decency to give feedback. I don't intend to work in job for long anyway. As soon as I have the job, I plan to start working on my business idea and quit as soon as I have enough financial leeway. How should I go about job hunt process? I have been trying to connect with folks on LinkedIn in whose company job openings are there. Apart from this, I have been connecting with founders from recently funded startups. Naukri / Instahyre and IIM Jobs are other portals I have been looking on. Anything I should do differently here? Looking forward to hearing your suggestions / experience.

Listen to me completely if you are a startup and read. So I have this ability to learn and create anything also solving the hurdle. Sounds complicated? I wanted to do designing I learnt figma and started to work as freelancer. I loved teaching went to small schools taught them science. I wanted to see how people get many views on LinkedIn and I tried and got 100k+ views. I got into coding and started freelancing by developing mobile,web and different apps. Felt I need to write so wrote a book. So I came to end of my college and I'm looking for a full time role and as this is my start of career I would love to join a startup. As I mentioned above I need a challenge and it's fine even if it's a stressful startup. 1. Real estate (invested value) 2. Liquid cash 3. Other Investments (invested value) The wealth should not be inherited. I'm 30. No house, 10L in cash and 5L in mutual funds. No inherited weath.

Finance and personal : DINK, but planning. No major savings or investments. Will be only a few lacs (10-15 lacs) before the baby is here. Wife will be off the job for a couple of years. Will be living pay-check to pay-check on my income, with a family to support. Struggling with health. Gained 20 kgs in 3 years. Putting efforts to undo this, but struggling. Professional: 8 yoe+ in Product management. Current employer not aligned with long term personal goals ( post 5 years type goals - tier 2 settle in, remote etc ) No increment since quite a while…company is growing but slowly. Mentally: Nothing is making sense. In the larger scheme of things, nothing really matters. Inertia is there to change job. No motivation to work at all. What will I even do after a job change ? There is no excitement of the same. No excitement of starting up myself either. Something doesnt feel right. I used to be the powerhouse of energy and motivation, a while back. Now I’m just the opposite. Is it fatigue speaking ?

I am sure alot of you are living away from your family. Wanted to know how do you take care of your parents and their expectations and at the same time fulfilling your career ambitions? Sharing my personal story here. I come from a small town in Rajasthan and I belong to a upper middle class Jain family. With God’s grace, we are comfortable financially with a sizeable ancestral wealth. My father is 58 and is getting weak and old with time. He wants me to comeback and take care of the family business and properties. He fears that if the transition is not made quickly then my uncle’s family will take over my share. (My uncle is very well connected politically in my hometown) But at the same time, I am not interested in taking over the business as of now and want to explore more in the field of tech and startups while living in different cities in Indian and abroad. I am now in a dilemma as to what is the right path moving forward and how do I balance my individual aspirations with my family responsibilities? I am sure alot of you must have faced the similar issues and I am seeking your advice or experience in handling such problems.

I'm 23 and working in Bangalore in the Founder's Office role at a startup. I aspire to be a Founder someday and run my own business, but don't have an idea that I am very passionate about right now. I have 3 years of work experience as I started working alongside my college. I am really confused whether I should consider Post-Grad or continue working. And if PG, then from India or outside. Any guidance or points to consider would help.

Im working as a developer in a unicorn startup with good salary for my age. But from college time I was interested in entrepreneurship trying different thing and later after completing college I joined this unicorn and worked hard, shifted to their new stealth startup and worked there with for 1yr, tried to work in every possible opportunity that I got with design team, product managers and learnt how to build a startup from scratch, but later due to creative issues in top level management and less revenue than the competitors the startup was shutdown and I was moved back to the unicorn and again started working as an developer. Tried different things from then 1. Tried joining top B schools but couldn’t afford 2. Tired pitching ideas to friends, seems like no one interested in taking risk leaving the life they have now 3. Tried starting few things on my own but always end up failing with no support 4. Tried attending conferences but that too never led me anywhere Now don’t have as many friends interested in entrepreneurship or mentors to guide me. Just passing the days doing the same work again and again please suggest me what to do next or give me any kind of advice
