Exit options from PM roles
What are the ideal options out of the PM roles and what kind of profile is required for the same considering I've started my career being a PM only? Is an MBA required for these roles?

You can reach out to SaaS VCs and explore investment/platform roles. Very hard to come by though
Can you elaborate on platform roles, if possible? If it helps I'm working with the platforms team in my company

Platform roles at VCs are like consultant roles. You help startups out with stuff that they might not have the skillset to execute. Look it up, lot of content on it. But again, rare opening.

Most of the non tech roles I believe. Business and Data analyst, designer etc. why do you want to exit anyways?
Do not want an exit as of now. It's more due to anxiety.
If tomorrow I am laid off for whatever reasons. I will be under pressure to get a PM job with the same or greater salary. Especially if u r laid off, getting another can be difficult if u r were paid good.
Therefore as an alternative, if there are other roles which are also good and I don't know about them, I can try those too! As a safety net for my thinking.
Let me know your thoughts.

Go for founder's office roles, work directly with founders. Aim for COO CEO or other senior product and growth related roles. Sales experience is valuable and good to have.

Moving to pre-sales role is a good idea as a PM as you're curious about users. Provided that you like it.
I have heard pre-sales has lot of pressure and not sure about the pay as well
@GrowthHacker Out of curiocity, just want to know why do you want to exit from PM role?

PMs are jack of all trades and master of none but companies prefer specialist majority of the times.
Generalist only after MBA
So, either go for MBA or have some skills in specific domain that is sellable in market.
