Is anyone here alone on Diwali & interested in celebrating Diwali by burning fire-crackers ? At Whitefield area

Me and my partner have been in bangalore for around 5-6 months now and we are not going back to our homes in Delhi this Diwali. But honestly, we are quite clueless as to how to celebrate Diwali here. We have a couple friends here but can't host a party either because there's no space in the house. Pls share how you have been celebrating Diwali. The last and worst option we could think of is watching a movie in theatre to keep ourselves engaged.🥲

We just received a message on our company (Graphy by Unacademy) from our business head that, we should not come to him asking for 6-7 leave for Diwali. These are the employees who want to go back to there home town for the featival. Additionally he said that it is an optional holiday and we can ask for 2-3 days work from home max not more that that, and we should understand our business’s needs and remain focused on it. What should I do now I have to prioritise my family and going to my home town, like this I will have pressure from both ends, please pass on any advice.

If you have the same thought process, let's plan something. Will have to find some spot as well. Somewhere near HSR/Bellandur/Sarjapur works for me but I can travel for some distance.

I’ll go first, getting that old PSP, the one which had WiFi in built. Or maybe PlayStation 2 which was like 5k-6k back then. Now, I could get a PS5 or buy games to play on my PC, but the feeling is lost. Just like my childhood. I guess I lived a part of my childhood today. Went on a walk and had a Cornetto IceCream, which back then I didn’t have the money for and had to buy an Orange/Cola IceCream. Then, I walked around my society. Saw a few kids playing football and instantly teleported back to when I was a kid. Now that child is gone and the dream has too. But still, it feels good remembering that 5 year old me would be proud of adult me, and that’s what truly matters. 🥰 I made this exact post 1 year back and it reminded me of how far I’ve come. I hope it makes you feel that too. ❤️
