Been wondering how this startup is gonna become profitable at any point. Going to be the same Cheq or CRED story at best. For the uninitiated, they have their own flash.co email IDs that you can use for shopping, bookings, etc. that you can use to get discounts and stuff. They also have a nice order tracking UI.

If they can milk advertisers using that data, then it would be one way to cash in. Having accurate spend data with correlation across services is a goldmine.

Very few Indians care about that tbh. I personally do, and have been a paid Proton user for years and would never use something like flash, but many others would. Data privacy regulations in India are anyways a joke.

Any views about Flashco's business model?

Is Flashco a sustainable business model? I have a job opportunity with them. However, I am unsure about the longevity of email based rewards. When our reliance on personal emails is dropping in today's day and age, it raises a doubt. As a customer of flashco I have seen them move away from rewarding every purchase to linking rewards to unclear rules. Do they have enough venture capital backing them? Or will they be able to raise more? Your honest opinion will help me for sure.

How is CheQ as a company? - The culture? A person i know has a offer letter of an APM I have doubts of their business models- Difficult to make money if you are giving cashback. Seems to me its Cred way back in 2020.

PhonePe coming with credit card score, payments, what is then Cred for?

https://www.phonepe.com/press/phonepe-announces-launch-of-credit-section-on-the-app/ This could be definitively be a death nail for Cred credit card payments. PhonePe would definitively scoop up a large number of users who use Cred only for credit card payments. Thoughts?

Cred is truly a topic of surprise for me. Yes, I understand it has created a community of top spenders/credit worthy people in India. I also understand that they can use the information on such people for creating value for themselves. Being a cred user, I only use it to pay the bills. I really wonder if they have built any b2b business or alternative source of income beyond what's seen to the end user. What's the game plan for the cred? I also applaud the fact that cred hasn't laid off people having paid them better than most companies. I really wonder if the business is really that strong or the conviction is. Would you join cred if given a chance to work there?
