Flight Firms gone mad 💢

Why they keep price so high even when 90% seats are vacant... I simply couldn't understand. They are against unit economics or what... Case 1, Price of Ticket 10k if 90% seats available Case 2, Price is 11k if 10% seats available Chal kya rha h ?

Flight seat demand outweighing supply and a bit of price gouging? They know the seats will fill up 95% before the actual date so why drop the prices?

No... Flight is going empty. Can check tomorrow flight status on mmt. They are just looting people and cci, dgca is silent. Hope tata rules this space and indigo, spicejet etc duopoly stops on few routes

I guess it's all due to jet and go air going kaput. Supply demand game. I used to call a travel agent who would get me a flight for 5k for blr- jaipur for the very next day on Go air. And when I looked at mmt, only indigo used to be option with 10k+ fare.

Does anyone feel like domestic flight rates increased 1.6x -2x for 2024? what's the reason for this surge even when there are no long weekends? Any tricks to get back to old prices atleast at 1.3x?

Why are flights so expensive nowadays?

So why are domestic flights more expensive than International flights? I was checking flight to Ranchi for today it is showing 21k While today's flights for Bangkok is 14k flight for Dubai is 13k flight for hongkong 16k

In India - Airlines are ordering 100's of aircrafts, ticket prices surged, people are thinking to avoid pricy tickets, due to jobs. We are not in recession. How are the calculations made for count of aircrafts to buy? Europe - their economy ain't better than India currently, why do they need more aircrafts? Care to explain the math of survival/profit??
