Folk, need recommendations for good restaurants and bars in Bangalore?

I've been in Bangalore for about 1 year and am seriously surprised by the lack of amazing places to eat, given there are sooo many options, and so expensive in the name of "ambiance" and "niche". I would love to hear recommendations from everyone here, what places truly stuck with you? What places do you absolutely adore? I couldn't care less about the ambiance or price, all I want is good food. I love sweets, street food and some awesome non-veg (everything included).

What are your go-to places in the city which you'd say are one of a kind? Looking to take my girl out on her birthday for dinner. Any recommendations and few insights into your experience are appreciated :)

Looking for options where there’s a decent choice of veg food in the menu and the veg food is tasty too. Please share suggestions. I’ll start off with a few - 1. JP Nagar - South Indian - Dakshin Cafe, Rameshwaram cafe, Brahmin Tiffins, Holige Mane 2. Anand Sweets and Sangam sweets for chat 3. HSR - Asha tiffins, Mumbai tiffins 4. North Indian - copper chimney, ITC master chef creations 5. Good ambience, pricey - Sante spa cuisine, Burma Burma 6. Five stars with good veg food - JW Marriott buffet, Falak (Leela Palace), Aaleshan (JW Marriott Nandi Hills) 7. Desserts - Amintiri, Milano ice cream

I am quite new to Bengaluru and just want some suggestions for good food outlets and restaurants with authentic North Indian taste. I am finding it very difficult to find good north Indian outlets.
