I am a victim of this Fraud. They called me and shared me a Data Analyst opportunity details and took my telephonic screening round. Then there was a technical test as well. Post that next day there was video interview. Everything went well then 2 days later they shared a manager feedback and call me saying that I have been selected. But my technical score is low so i have to finish a course before onboarding. They shared the offer letter as well on the same day. And asked me shared all the documents and shared the course enrolment link which was of 17k. They also mentioned that my money will be refunded with my 1st salary credit. When I investigated further and checked with other HR by messaging them on Linkedin, I got to know that it was a SCAM.
As I am actively searching for a data analyst opportunity. Please help me with the referrals.
And beware of such frauds. It was really heartbreaking for me.

This incident happened with one of my friend. She is looking for a job change and these people contacted her saying she is selected for interview with Godrej and Boyce. His name is Aniket Archarya

She passed all the rounds which were only for 15 mins( she appeared for data analyst role). He called her today stating she performed well and but her Power Bi skills are not upto the mark but still the management decided to go ahead with her. He mailed her the offer letter and but there was no joining date mentioned. When inquired he told her that she has to do one certification in order to get onboarded which costed around 17,994 INR. Since she found this strange she investigated in linkedin contacted other HRs who have verified badge. They confirmed its a scam. 

To all out there beware of these frauds masking themselves as HRs

I am posting this information to safe gaurd others job seekers and  posting after doing my level of research as one of the victim is my close friend. 

Person named Brahmaiah Shaik, who claimed as currently working as senior HR at Virtusa, Hyderabad has taken money from many unemployed job seekers promising them Jobs in development and testing and help them with fake experience letters and other onboarding activities. He has been promising jobs in Virtusa and Wipro like companies. Almost 38 lakhs has been collected from 21 individuals since Jan 2024 and they are still job less as he is not reachable now. People who has given money became helpless now. Please be aware of these fraudsters. Do not believe anyone who are promising jobs atleast do not pay blindly well before any progress. Build up your skills and try out for jobs or atleast approach a renowned consultants. Please if someone are there from Virtusa..let me know any internal ombuds channel to report this.

So, I am looking for senior level jobs and  usually referall /direct connects have worked better. But today I had to upload my resume on shine.com 'cuz the opening on linkedin, redirected me there.
Within an hour I got a call from an agency called evolution planner and what seemed like a young boy in an animated voice asking if am looking out etc. What spiked my curiosity was him asking if am looking outside India, which is not usual opening question.
Now its usual for consultants to call so it was sll okay till he said there will be a small fees. Now again, I know of senior folks who deploy headhunters and I was like maybe these people have got my profile from somewhere and are looking to source business from me. I wouldn't have paid but I entertained to see where this is going. He said Microsoft, Oracle etc have shortlisted me. Funny given I have worked in startups in marketing ( and not even tech ) so don't knw whats the skillset match. Anyway he told me to create an account and my final red flag was when he said site name like www Dot..lol who says it like that. I cut the call pretending am getting another call and he can call me later. He asked me to confirm since he will have to hold the client for me. Lol
It's happened with me for the 1st time and unfortunately searching this company name doesn't throw any negative reviews either. But this is a scam,right ? Also since when did google start recruiting like this.

I have tried contacting people who have listed properties on 99acres/housing/no broker and the people who recieved my call(almost 99%) told me that I need to deposit 1000 or 1500 INR(only via online payment), upon receiving which they will create a visiting card for me. Once I have the visiting card, the property manager would be meeting me on the premises. Something seems fishy and leads me to not trust them.

Has anyone else encountered a similar situation? Please list your experience.

I was going to join a company in gurgaon.
Had 2 rounds of interviews with them and 1 psychrometric test.

Both interviews & the test happened on wednesday.
On thursday i got email from HR asking details like Aadhar, PAN card and salary slips etc.

At First I called the HR to share any offer letter or salary details (neither we negotiated), but she said it will all be after i share the details.

Taking it as a win, i shared all of the details.

Now on Friday evening i got an email from HR that they cant move further with my candidature.

I called the HR to find out, she said it is because i failed the psychrometric test. WTF ?

Now i am genuinely concerned if this was scam?

I got rejected after sharing the Aadhar & PAN details. WTF

I got scammed by one of the leading corporate giants of Bangalore! I’m from IIM Bangalore, I cracked an offer from Agnity.. placement round me itni life changing baatein ki thi board of management ne ki mujhe laga ab toh college se nikalke seedha life set hai! Ghar gadi sabke sapne dekh liye they, it’s been three months now and idhar data entry ke alawa kuch nahi kara rahe merese.. a few of my friends who got selected for other companies are facing the same! I don’t understand jab hume as subordinates hi use karna hai toh campus placements rakhne ka point hi kya hai?

I am seeing lots of jobs post on LinkedIn from various companies and when u apply to them there is no call back or any update from them. I am now like confused if those post are even true or not? Anyone face/observe this

I got offer from capgemini. They told to download the offer letter from the portal link which they have provided. I don't find the logo of capgemini on the offer letter is the offer genuine?

I don't understand how the fuck the hiring team wasn't made aware of future cost cutting given its not a very big company. This is sad. I've myself been approached by them 2 weeks back. 😑

This was my pathetic interview experience with Acceldata india with a very unprofessional and lying recruiter. This story has a satisfying ending.

I attended 6 rounds of interviews in 1 month and completed a take home assignment. I cleared all the rounds and even had a manager discussion about my onboarding. All good so far. 

Few days later the recruiter called back and said we need one more round (8th round) with the director who sits in US office. I said Ok and he scheduled this call on a Friday 10pm at night. 

At 9:55pm I tried to join the meeting link he sent but the link was not working. I tried in different browsers, different laptop, different internet connection. No luck. 

So I reached out to recruiter on mobile and he doesn't pick up. I know he's available because he was on call with someone else. I even tried reaching him via a different phone number but still no luck. Imagine the anxiety and panic I had to go through since I felt that it was my fault. 

On, next day he casually calls me in the morning to say that "Sorry I tried calling you 2 days ago but your mobile was unreachable (which is a plain lie). He says he cancelled the meeting because he found another candidate with lower salary.

That's fine, and I don't give a damn at this point. But I asked why didn't he send meeting cancelled email so I didn't have to panic on a friday late night. He casually says "Sorry about that". That's the last I hear of him. No response after that. 

All this after going through 8 rounds of interviews and a take home assignment. All because this a--hole recruiter lied to my face and couldn't send a simple email. 

Funny thing is: Another recruiter reached out to me 3 months later for the same role. Apparently the candidate they hired instead of me backed out at the last miniute. 🤣

If you get a chance to interview at AccelData, trust me, please don't waste your time. The company and the recruiting practises are not worth your time, even if you are jobless.

In March 2023, a man received a call from someone claiming to be a recruitment executive for a global carmaker's India unit. 

They convinced him he was shortlisted for a senior position but asked for a fee of Rs 1,600 to register. 

The scammers kept asking for more money over five months, including Rs 28,000 for a uniform, Rs 80,000 for a check-up, and Rs 2.4 lakh as a salary advance. .

However, after paying around Rs 24 lakh in around 40 transactions, the man realized that he had been cheated

How and why people fall for these? Also how they make over 40 transactions? 

Also a lot more people have fallen for scams than I initially thought. It's only when you tell them a story about other scams they tell their story.

Companies doing this are trying to trick employees into thinking the company is growing and that they are hiring more workers to alleviate their workload. This is not only manipulative, but immoral. 

If you want to increase productivity and alleviate stress in your office, start by showing appreciation for your employees and encouraging them.
