Freshers laid off
Loosing respect for the companies which are laying off the freshers. I thing it is the worst thing which can happen in an industry. Ola and Amazon have fired freshers very recently. Any other companies which had done this?
Byjus had laid off 80% of 2022 grads just 4 days before diwali with no severance
Now i have been hearing news that they have increased hiring and hired 2023 grads ( more than 2022 grads ) with Intern+ FTE starting from January.
I don't get this why layoff 200 and hire 300 within span of 2 months
Interns are being paid 65k / month until June after which they’re converted to FTE

Tiger Analytics laif off freshers and experienced resources without any severance or NP. Basically, forced employees to resign by saying that they won't give experience certificate and will screw up any future BGV checks

Myntra is also doing this
I was an intern at akamai and we were promised to get PPO (pre placement offer). But they didn't convert anyone from my college and other colleges as well. I had to miss majority of my placements as we are not allowed to sit if we have an internship. Its hard to face rejection in the initial stages of career.
Can totally understand this.
No worries. Look forward for better opportunities ahead :)
Heard Ola is laying off more than 500 employees in another round
Oyo laid of all developers from IIT BHU and Roorkee who joined in July 22.
But laying off top management people with families is even worse. Some will be the only bread earners for their families.
Nothing new. A bunch of us were thrown out 4 months in as freshers during the 2008 financial crash.
