Day by day we are seeing lot of negative news from one or the other reputed companies (Politics, toxicity). 

Getting into software role is gamble these days or coming (cuz... we Beggar cant be chooser). Things from here are likely to change for some of the person surely. 
There are folks preaching patience is the key, but likely talks about ethics and empathy they follow or do. (**atitude prevails)

Everyone is planning to make others fool or control. People are working to show case and make himself secure in his role and he'll do whatever he can for it. and Even your leader have no autonomy but pushing to toxic chasing. (lack of vision **fooling)

Remind me once a scar or experience hit you, you never forget it. You can choose to ignore and not talk about and move to other glorification of comparing package later in next org.


I am not sure how many time such timeline have came in IT in past 30 years. But definitely the problems of today is different with diff pace and Zero empathy or ethics. cuz no one cares.

When I go to the office, all of my colleagues talk to me very kindly. It's as if they're reassuring me that if anything were to happen, I have nothing to worry about because these guys will manage everything, including my family. However, when there's a need for teamwork, these guys behave as if they belong to different departments and do back bitching all day.

Outside of work, clients try to get close, almost like cousins (I know they want referrals), but during review meetings in front of their bosses, these guys act like FBI agents or like they are doing some type of favor on us.

In college, when our group of friends used to go on trips, we would enjoy every time like kids. But now, everyone is more interested in knowing how much we earn and Judging based on the brands of our clothes and watches.

People often ask me why I don't go home on long weekends. Well, I live in a joint family, and when I go there, everyone bombards me with questions about when I'm going to get married. Man what the hell, I don't want to get married, plain and simple. My uncle, every time he sees me, asks about my annual salary increment. What's the deal? Didn't we have this conversation just three months ago? Who gets a raise every quarter?

Finally, I decided that I'll take some time for my personal life, and if I find a soulmate, I'll consider marriage. But here's the thing (sorry if it's not appropriate): it seems like everyone these days is only interested in one thing, yes Se*. What's wrong with our generation? Doesn't anyone want emotional support anymore? Isn't anyone interested in enjoying the sunset with someone they love or gazing at the sky while lying on the grass?

People often ask me why I don't go outside or try to be more social. Well, I've tried everything, and I'm really happy at my home in my favorite pajamas.

Being a picky GenZ consumer

Last week, I was wondering how long has it been for me since I joined Grapevine. Scrolling through OTPs, I realized that the first time I "may" have joined the app is exactly one year ago since today.

It has been a hell of a ride. I have had insane conversations with some of the best minds in this country. It also made me appreciate how the same people who will be discussing Finance in one post also end up talking about Nietzsche in another post. 

I have always felt that we all have great stories to share in our lives. Grapevine has always been a place where smart people in this country have contributed to the collective knowledge here. 

Lastly, there are always a ton of gloomy folks around you, they are doomsayers. That is always because people in general are more optimistic about their future and that remains a mainstream emotion. Which means that the cost of being wrong is low and the praise for being right is high when you are negative all the time as it is a contrarian take.

But let me tell you the most important thing, India is becoming big. No matter what may come our way. People will crib about things as they should, but don't let that deter you from building in India and staying in India. There is a ton of money to be made and you should aim to be on the right side of history.

Whenever I read foreign media outlets, India is the new Asian Tiger that will outpace most emerging economies in growth. But Indian media and Indian people act like India is the worst place to be.

The dichotomy is extremely confusing. Why is it that foreign media coverage on our economy is more favourable than our own hopes and aspirations from this country?

PS: I am really big on Indian Exceptionalism, the belief that India's economic development and trajectory are unique or exceptional compared to other nations, driven by our large and diverse population, thriving middle class, our entrepreneurial spirit, and the emphasis on technology and innovation.

He argues that the current rally and GDP growth is attributed to the affluent consumers (<6Cr) whereas the broader economy is still struggling. If in case there is a demand shock, it will lead to a slowdown and inflation.

Sooo I feel like Bangalore is a city that lives on Hype, everyone is just trying to be cool and are too afraid of actually call out stuff for what they are. 

Few examples (my personal opinion) 

Eat Naru - it’s good ramen, but you can definitely find better or as good (bookings are sold out in minutes) 
Pizza 4Ps - Average pizza, great hospitality but not worth waiting for a booking a month in advance 
Ultrahuman ring - It’s not even that accurate for that price 
March Tee - good T-shirt, but you can find so much better at that price point

I can't believe the hype - the LinkedIn masturbation pre presentation was annoying. The teams were n00bs and presented like 7th grade kids in elocution (I'm looking at you Sama Patkar). The ideas were juvenile, classic Excel sheet circus, and none of the judges grilled them. I mean really guys if you think this is growth - it's 2000. My CMO and plenty of untalented marketing folks i know would've ripped this shit apart. I kept waiting for something to learn. But what a waste of 3 hours.
