I do this everyday. I mean not everything but both take care of the child and I also help in house work. (making lunch/dinner, grocery shopping etc)

Also, Most children need their mother not only for nursing but for sleeping and sometimes to relax as well.

Yes, It's her first birthday as a mother. Okay, the problem is we are right now at that stage where nothing materialistic amuses us and we already have all the stuff that we need. We both love to travel but with kid it's not that easy and the kid was sick last week so we don't want to travel right now. I am thinking of a Spa session or something similar. Like the idea about thinking something around first bday as mother.

Okay, I was thinking quite a bit and read others suggestions as well. Here is the plan my brain cooked: Rather than a single gift, why not focus on celebrating the entire day and do everything? Give your wife the queen treatment. 1. Breakfast in bed, with you, think of it as your cute little date. 2. Send her for a morning or afternoon at spa. 3. Meanwhile you can transform your home for a date, have quality relaxing time as a family. Celebrate your wife, your bonds. Does this sound good? Or am I going overboard with the plan? I understand that taking care of a baby takes a lot, but as she is 10 months old, you would be able to have her around and enjoy father daughter time with her and decorate a little corner in your home. Don't forget to video it, show it later to your wife :) Also, I have heard that mothers usually do not get many moments captured with their young baby. If you can capture her moments, and gift this to her, she would be so much happy.
