Google Cloud Shutting down?
Any insider teas?
They want to extract profits even out of people who have decided to leave them. Toxic AF.
This move was done to increase client acquisition, not because GCP is shutting down.
Free egress doesn't mean they don't make more profits. In B2B, some free features or services are provided so that overall revenue/profits can be increased - B2B PMs can confirm. In economics, we call this playing with the price elasticity of the product.

They're just making egress transfer fees free. Probably to attract customers. They have the least market share out of AWS, Azure.

The way they have written it like
‘Customers who wish to stop using GCP’
Thats a way of saying
Move to GCP, if you don't like leave and take your data and we won't charge you if you don't find GCP better.
