Got two offers Accenture and Mathco (Startup) which to join ?
I have got two offers, One from MathCo (Data Analyst) Bang location, other is Accenture (ASE) Pune location. Salary wise almost same only mathco gives 20% you hike. Which to join? My current location is pune so savings wise Accenture is better option but roles wise mathco is giving data science role. So bit confused which path to choose?

If you are a fresher then inquire about what will be training programs given to you once you join.
I have observed many people who are having good soft skills because they were trained well for it when they started their career.
You can always learn it later in your career but it will be more challenging to learn and implement rather than you have started your career with those soft skills.
After a year or two you can switch for a better opportunity for sure.
Wishing you the best!

Accenture is random , there is no knowing what tech stack I will get ! But mathco is pure data science firm so all roles are data science domain related .

I got your point but I was talking more from non technical/soft skills perspective.
In a year or two you can learn the technical skills required if you don't get it at Accenture.

I have no problem moving to Bangalore, my main concern are negative reviews that are on Glassdoor and ambition box. I know most of them are due to layoffs so wanted to know if the company is actually doing data science work or not . And how is work environment is it toxic or not.

Yeah, look into those details and then decide which to prefer

Go for MathCo here the role is defined if you are interested in Data Analyst kindly go ahead with MathCo , Accenture might sound great but you never know into which project they will hardlock you in , you might even end up in some dumb support role in Accenture.

Yeah my thoughts were similar first but after seeing negative reviews it's a bit confusing ! Bcz they have literally 2.9 star rating on ambition box
Check someone in linkedin who works for mathco and that's a bad review 2.9 star.

Any specific reason ?
They might assign you on any random project. As an ASE, you may need to go through multiple internal trainings n exams. Growth is slow from 2021 onwards. If other company is offering you good role, just go for it - Learn and move. Telling you from own experience. I wasted my initial 2 years in a support project which was just based on SQL. I dont want you to be stuck in similar situation.

I just want to clarify for Accenture that there are a lot of different experiences in acc many of my friends doing proper dev in project and many are in support+dev and support. It's pure luck. I joined in 2022 dec and it's going good.

Is there any scope of switching to data science domain if I don't get dev or data science domain ?
You can do certification related to data science and increase your proficiency and specialization then you may get those. Many of my friends work in a good domain in acc. But if you really want to grow in data science like you want to work for that domain only then go somewhere else otherwise in Accenture maybe you might get a different domain mern mean Java .net something like that and side by side you can increase your proficiency and specialization by Accenture free sites.🙂

If you are fresher then don’t go to any mnc, instead go for the startups and learn
