 Popular for me gives the clean version experience with posts that have good engagement.  
  
 Seems to be a classic problem of Power User vs Rest of Platform. And the truth is solving for 90% >> solving for 10%

Yes but how do random posts even reach Popular if we aren't seeing them.
Many good posts get lost because of it

Aah, why do we even have to go through all these? 😂 
  
 It should just automatically apply/load last used filter 🤝🏻

Yes, that's a bad experience. I had pinged Miacheal ji with the same issue.  
 When I open the app, it goes to company section first and then popular - both which I want to avoid

Grapevine's algorithm is as stubborn as a mule. It's their way or the highway. They don't care about user preference.

For example, someone saying they are getting 50 LPA at 4 YoE now is meh, but in 2020 would have been phenomenal.

Why doesn't Grapevine show recency of posts/comments?

Today we have 21 communities on Grapevine. SWE, PM, Salary Discussion, Office Gossip, Indian Startups, Bangalore being some of the most active ones. 

What are some other communities/use cases that we should create?

Going forward the Grapevine feed will only show posts from the communities you are actively subscribed to. Please subscribe and unsubscribe to the correct communities as per your interest

2. Discover More
We have fine tuned the Discover More algorithm to make it a way for you to go deep into any topic on Grapevine. So if you start reading posts w.r.t "Software Engineer Amazon Salaries" - you will get more posts on the same or similar topic 

3. Oh and yes btw, we also added markdown support so you can now write list type posts such as this one. You can do this by starting your sentences with a number or add dashes (-) before every sentence

Not sure if its limited to my device, but recently i am not being redirected to the post which i receive as push notification from grapevine’s app. 
I use iphone xr (if that information is needed anyway)

About grapevine app

I’ve been an avid user of grapevine for the past couple of months but lately have been noticing a scrolling bug once I cross around 45 posts. The app starts auto scrolling back up to previous posts and after a few attempts to continue scrolling, the screen just goes blank. Previously the app used to literally auto close but that behaviour seems to have stopped. 

I am in iOS and the app is updated to the latest version. Using a iPhone SE OG, if that matters.

i get regular grapevine post notifications on iphone lockscreen , when i tap and open it doesnt redirect to the post mentioned in notification. Why are these poking me to read the one which i couldnt find. solution ?!

Hey Folks, 
On the onset , I would like to welcome all the new members who joined Grapevine over last few days. Grapevine is a nice platform and I really hope all of you will enjoy great conversations and viewpoint on this community .

Now to the point why gatekeeping might become essential : I heard some days back , a good man on YouTube posted a video telling his fans about this awesome community. That is why you might have seen outburst of ‘ this is a nice platform ‘ posts on Grapevine. They also thank him in the body of the post xD. Honestly , I am fed up of this non sense posts And my timeline is already cluttered due to this.

Now his followers will start highjacking the community. Right now , this being a professional platform , the posts were interactive and decent to read. Now don’t be surprised if you see posts irrelevant to the community. I remember same thing happening with r/developersIndia community some years back and right now , that sub is kinda dead and have repetitive kind of questions which can easily be found if you have taken the effort to search for the posts.

Secondly, I won’t be surprised in case their is a difference of opinion with the Guru , people or his followers will start you bashing left , right and centre. 

I know this post sounds rude and entitled since everyone should have fair opportunity in life , but definition of fair varies as well. 

I’m very interested in knowing the POV of everyone involved here - may be I am over thinking. But would appreciate your thoughts on this .
