Talent acquisition is not a great space to be in IMHO. The risk of automation and layoff is highest is TA. Growth paths include growing to be TA head, driving volume hiring for organisations and even becoming a campus recruiter. It’s also possible to move to HRBP roles which have TA components in their job.

Absolutely true ..i can feel the pinch of this phase of recession pretty hard ...not only because of the incessant layoffs but the AI that will be taking over our jobs . And also to add the fierce competition which we are facing right now .. IMO it would be better to transition to a HRBP role to be on a safer side

Hi, I am a 21yr old interested in Talent Acquisition as a career path but I am also interested in making a lot of money (50LPA+) as I progress in the field. 

I’ve done my research using Glassdoor & Levels.fyi but I want to hear from real people on whether such a salary is possible in Talent Acquisition specifically at Director or Sr. Manager Level? (so like 10-15 years down the line for me). I know HRBP pays more but I can’t be arsed to plan parties (employee engagement) or keep attendance trackers (performance review), I enjoy matching talented people with the right companies more.

My sister has done MBA in human resources and has been working as a recruiter. For last couple of months she is trying to switch but there are not enough opportunities out there or she is not getting calls for any of them. She has two years of experience.

Folks from Human Resource background, what is the scope of career growth in the industry going forward. Does college background matters when applying for HR positions in reputed MNCs. What can one do to navigate through this.

Other question I had was, is it worth exploring other domains out there. Are there vocational courses where one can learn new skill and use that to land a job

Hey guys, does anyone know of early stage companies that are looking to hire non-tech recruiters? I come with 2 years of full cycle leadership recruitment experience and I've also overseen projects in TA itself while being an individual contributor.

One of the projects I worked on was setting up a referral portal for all employees since we could not accommodate all our employees on our recruitment software. This is currently WIP for a v2 now.

Asking for a friend. They are a recruiter at a top startup but their salary has increased only 30% in the last 3 years. Joined the company out of campus and has been in TA for 2.5 years now at the same company. They mentioned that they're at 6.5LPA now.
