Guys, I did it! I quit my toxic boss.

I quit my toxic job without having another offer in hand. I was working as a PM where I gave it one year thinking that things will stabilize, but they didn't. Now I'm on the job market. I'm looking out for either of the following functions: - PM - Founder's office - Growth Need to land something quickly so I can be sane. About me: I've 4 years of exp with 2 years in product. I'm typing this out as a way of collecting my thoughts and feeling a bit normal to take myself through the day. Context: I have been working with a small b2b IT firm for the last 1.5 years, and resigned yesterday. This was my first job straight out of MBA and it has sucked the soul out of me to say the least. The notice period is 3 months and I am really unsure how will I survive it considering that I'm already completely drained. I do not want to list out the reasons of how this place has been toxic for me because I also carry a lot of self doubt if it was really the toxicity of the place or my own incapability to handle the work. I do not have any offer in hand, and haven't started a job search either. Just wanted to put this out there to see if people here in the community have been in a similar situation in their professional lives and how did they figure out the uncertainty, was it a good decision for them in retrospect and if they have any tips for me to deal with this better, with less anxiety.

I am thinking of leaving my current job and focus on myself, getting to know myself better etc. Currently I have enough money saved for my expenses for next 6-8 months. Everyone I have asked about this say don't leave your job if you don't have another lined up, in this tech winter. I understand their view point. It aligns with what my parents think as well. Is there anyone who has had done this in the past? Do you recommend this route? Are the consequences far too severe? Does anyone have a different opinion from one stated above?

Left previous job due to severe toxicity in the entire co. Only 2 senior level people would boss around the entire co. and then put the blame on junior roles if things didn't move as expected. Been on the lookout for a new role for almost 2 months now but to no avail. I'm exhausted. Don't know how to go about it. Lost all motivation. But I know for a fact I'm fucking great at what I do. In case you're aware of companies that are hiring for a PM role, please share.

I recently left a job because of toxic workplace. I survived seven years (yes, 7 years) there and it was toxic af. The team is full of under qualified mediocres who are ready to lick my boss' feet 24*7 (even till personal level)...I had enough of it and decided to quit. Even during my notice period there was a lot of drama and false allegations that I did not give any handover to the team. I escalated it and looped in my HR with all evidences. Now since I have left, they hired two more people as my replacement but still badly stuck (which they deserve). My relieving letter is stuck because my boss refused to sign my no-dues because of her ego.

My story - So I switched to a startup last year. I was initially super excited in solving problems. Asking questions and just being curious about everything in general. Then, some incidents of my manager's behavior and team folks has turned me into a person who is so fucking afraid of now asking questions, doing tasks. My stakeholder communication sometimes I miss on, some things that seem to be pretty obvious had I been my competent self of previous organization, I am missing out on. I don't communicate well simply because I don't want to face my current manager and team. There's huge disconnect as well. I am not at all excited to work everyday. My friend was miserable in my previous org but now after switch he's damn happy and doing good! I want to know if this is something that happens with you all? Or are you all like you fit in everywhere? Or is it just My problem and my incompetence? Because I am always reminiscing my past org and my performance there was exceptional!

Hello folks, Anyone got any tips/experience getting out of a 90 day notice clause? I am in a management role in a big 4 and am not interested in the dull work and the office politics. Planning to move out in the coming months but I have a 90 day notice which worries me. Any idea if 90 days are the norm for management roles these days? Anyone got some clever tricks/tips on how to get out in about 60-70 days? Thanks.

18 years in the same company. Company grew, my boss became a millionaire. I was still stuck making pittance, no company shares, no stock options. It was almost like I was taken for granted. Last straw came when I was handed an envelope at the Christmas party with ten 20 dollar bills, "annual bonus". Gave my 2 week notice, the team and HR planned a farewell lunch, I didnt go. Said good bye on Teams and signed out. Today I am free. Next month, I start as a Manager in another company, already my new boss seems light years ahead of my old one. He has been communicating with me regularly, getting me acclimatized to the new company by inviting me to observe team meetings and sending me links and articles, even before my start date.

Hi guys, So I resigned from a unicorn recently because it was hell toxic and I was getting anxiety attacks. So I put in my papers, but the twist in the story is they curtailed my notice period. So now, I am jobless and feeling completely lost. Though interviews are in the pipeline but I didn’t get chance to prepare even during weekends due to excessive workload. Now, I got rejected in multiple companies . Also, I tried rescheduling a few interviews and the HRs got pissed off and said the position has already been filled (which is not true). So, now I am preparing but still feeling like a complete loser and losing confidence.
