I'm at a turning point in my life, living in a small town. I recently graduated, and my current concentration is on studying for the CAT24 exam. Yet, it is not only academic pressure that is weighing on me, there is also a huge financial weight due to medical expenditures. These bills have piled up over the last few years, adding to the stress and uncertainty I'm already feeling.

It's upsetting to be dealing with sadness and feelings of hopelessness at the age of 22. Life appears to have taken a sharp turn for the worst, and I'm fighting to find meaning and purpose in my daily existence. The weight of these issues might be daunting, so I'm asking for strong advice and support from anyone who is ready to help. Please give me some advice on how I should earn some money online?

Any advice for a broke college student on how to earn money part time?

Qualifications: BTech IT from tier-3 college, Pass Out in 2021, CGPA 7

Skills: Python + DSA (Intermediate), HTML, CSS, JS (Intermediate).

In 2021 I was preparing for government job and was really passionate about govt services but I failed in CDS II 2021 and lose all of my focus and my parents want me to get a job in related field so in January 2022 I started looking for job in IT but I was not good at anything and so I thought I wasn't job ready and start learning to Python and DSA and Web Development but in meantime I procrastinated and wasted so much of my time I was demotivated with zero focus and after months I am still not good at anything I don't have anything to show on my resume no projects, no experience nothing.

I have wasted more than a year just thinking what should I do and got nowhere. Lately I started to learn web dev from theodinproject.com and have completed foundations. Tbh i wasted time during this learning phase also and manage to complete this in a month. And after that I started to learn reactjs (haven't completed it yet)

And now I am really desperate for a job. What should I do to get a job with minimum preparation like give 1 months and get a job? I am not looking for something specific. I don't have any goals. ATM I have no idea what I am passionate about.

Hi everyone, need serious guidance and tips with regard to my career.

I want to switch to I.T/ Tech; however I am not sure if I'll be able to learn and grasp everything now. Also, I do not know which path/ domain to pursue.


Cloud computing, AWS, AZure, Devops, Data Science, Business Analyst, Data analyst, Salesforce, Front end, Back end, Testing etc. it's damn confusing and scary.

I have zero coding knowledge, although I completed my grads in I.T, wish I had tried harder back then.

Today I am living a lost life doing a call center type customer support job earning a meagre salary compared to my peers.

I really want to get some certification/course done and switch to I.T/ Tech role.  Please suggest something which doesn't involve a lot of coding. 

At present, I am out of job, I'm ready to dedicate next 6 months- 1 year to full-time learning.

Please help and guide me which path to take.

I graduated in 2021 with a degree in electrical engineering from a decent college, but unfortunately, I didn't secure a placement. Since then, I've been struggling to find my path and ended up taking random jobs, leading to a significant gap in my career of almost 2 to 3 years. Alongside my career struggles, I've been battling with depression and anxiety, which have been exacerbated by the lack of support from family and friends. Despite seeking help from therapists and doctors, I haven't seen much improvement. Additionally, I attempted the GATE exam without success, as I lack passion and feel limited options are available.

**Request:**
I'm feeling lost and fearful about my future, especially considering my physical and mental health issues. My confidence has taken a hit due to repeated failures, and I find myself fearing everything. I'm reaching out to this community in the hope of finding guidance, support, and perhaps some practical advice on how to regain my confidence and overcome these fears.

**Additional Request:**
If anyone has faced similar challenges or has insights on how to rebuild confidence after setbacks, I would greatly appreciate your input.

Hi Everyone,
I hope you all are making crazy money. I am actually a 3rd year engineering student. I've made over 28 products and released them, having over 650,000 users worldwide. But most of my products are free to use and thus I don't make any money at all even after having so many users, I made some paid apps too but didn't get significant users. I can confidently say that I am one of the best frontend developers available in the market, have a good portfolio, good linkedin profile, good achievements yet I don't get approached by companies or clients.
This is a complete breakdown moment for me as I don't understand how much I have to do to start making money. Don't judge me for mentioning money here as I come from a lower middle class family and I need to make money for my life.
I would love to get your opinion or suggestions or secrets whatever can help me in any ways.

What does it take to get approached by companies or clients?

Hi Folks I'm graduated in 2023 from a Tier 3 College with 7LPA at a startup 
I'm working here in automation but framework is company built and I'm feeling like I'm learning nothing
I want to switch to dev 
But these DSA and everything scare me I'm good to nothing
And I don't see a scope in Quality Engineering
And I have a student loan to pay of its of sum around 8 Lakhs
I want to switch to a high paying job
Because I live with my family
I pay rent 15k Sister takes care of groceries and stuff
I need high pay job but I feel I'm good to no where
What should I do please, tell me how to handle stuff
Sometimes I panic and cry alone

Quality Engineer is Good or Bad

Hey All, 

I'm 26-M earning a descent salary(approx 40k per month). My family doesn't have any property/gold and we live in a rented house. 
90% of my earnings goes to expenditure. And rest 10% goes to some or the other expenditures (like medicine, repairs, travelling etc). At the end of the month my bank account has around 1-2k.

I have no savings, no sip, no shares, no crypto nor additional source of income. 
I'm only running my entire house. 

My parents want me to get married. My parents both have diabetes and my father is 60yrs old.
He wants me to get married as soon as possible so that he can have a cool head. 

The thing is, for marriage also there's no money saved, I have to take some loan (approx 2-3Lakhs) for the marriage. 

Especially in my community, girls are very few in numbers and they have lot of expectations like own house, more than 15LPA, rental income etc etc. 

I only expect one thing from the girl i.e she should be having a minimum degree and should be working. 

But most of the girl's parents are rejecting because of my financial condition. 

I'm in a dilemma whether to stop looking for marriages atleast for 2-3 years(so that atleast my salary would be increased by that time frame). But at the same time I'm feeling scared like once I cross 28 age it would be very difficult to find a match as at that time also I may not own a house.

Any guidance would be helpful😀

Hey All

I graduated in 2021 out of DU and parallely converted my internship with a preseries A fintech startup for a full-time role, pay was less that what I would've got in campus placements, but I prioritised steep learning curve or a 15k per month salary difference.

After spending 15 months reporting directly to the ceo in a 150 member team, I resigned. Initially the pace was enjoyable, later on it became toxic.

Moved to Bangalore and joined another start-up, didn't take a huge hike since I just wanted to start somewhere. After working here for 7 months, now I have much for focussed idea on what my strengths are and I'm working with experienced folks (avg 8+ years). I'm a 22 year old working in the founding team of pretty good product startup (funded by Kunal and bunch of other angels).

Currently I'm at 6LPA, and would reach a 12LPA in thr next 3-4 months subject to fundraise, what I would like an opinion on is if after completing an year and we don't raise a round, do I stay? Or do I go back home and prepare for Gmat or CAT, then do aan expensive MBA by taking a loan? Or do I find another startup asking for a 12LPA? or do I try for a established company role in program management or partnerships or something?

I don't have any family money or business to fall back on, but fortunately I didn't take a loan for my education yet, and my parents would be okay to give me another 2 more years to figure things out.

Would appreciate help from anyone who've been in a similar journey or just any piece of advice.

I’m a 30 year old customer support employee who worked at Airtel, MPL, Wazirx and I have 5 years of total experience all things customer support. 

About a year ago, laid off at Wazirx due to crypto taxes and regulations and it’s been an uphill battle to find a steady job in the market. 

Did few freelance jobs but nothing is working out. I’m at a point where I’m unable to even get by on monthly basis. 

I’m a Engg dropout as well, so no degree, no real top notch experience to land other roles. 

I finally decided to have a crack at software jobs and pivot to whole new field. I have few queries, if anyone can find some time and answer them, it would mean the world to me 

1. Do I need a degree to land software roles ? 
2. To pivot to coding roles ( no prior experience), where should i start ?
3. There’s an ocean of misinformation out there, I’m really confused on where to start and which courses to take up? ( Planning to take up Phyton ) 
4. Can coding help to land freelance jobs ( I know it’s difficult and takes time to reach good enough of a level but I’m willing to work hard and put the hours in ). 
5. I know companies doesn’t bet on candidates without a degree but what’s the best way to approach this scenario?

After completing engineering I got a full time job opportunity in a logistic company as a business analyst. At the start everything was good but slowly I was pushed in the non technical department. Right now my majority of work consists of people's management. There is no technical aspect left in my job role and neither am I learning anything. After spending 02 years in the company I learned nothing. After realising my mistake I started learning SQL and then I've planned to learn Tableau as I have an inclination towards Data Analytics but due to my toxic job I can't focus on things. Also I can't leave the current job as I am having the responsibilities of my family.
Seeing my friends succeeding in their job really makes me anxious. 
Also I can't apply for jobs in service based companies like TCS, Wipro, Accenture etc. as I'm having 4 years educational gap after class 10 due to financial issues. My father lost his job so I was  helping my father who was working in a local groceries shop during that time.

I am a fresher doing b.tech in cse, I don't have a job right now, my previous company declined thr joining due to which I was not able to apply for other jobs coming on campus. My friends got job somewhere, I feel very disappointed in myself and I can't see my family lower their expectations in me. Mentally I am not in the state to do anything, I think my life is falling apart although it didn't even start. I am lacking motivation, I cry all the times thinking what will happen now.
