HELP - ACL knee ligament injury
Need genuine help/advice on solving my knee ligament injury. Any experience/advice that someone can share would be helpful. Some background - I used to play football semi- professionally until I tore my knee ligament 7-8 years back while playing. Couldn't even walk for almost 3-4 months and was heartbroken to be honest. The next 2-3 years was a period of pain and depression as I kept trying again and again to get back once in the game every 8-9 months after doing regular physiotherapy and all sorts of knee strengthening exercises but to no avail, everytime I did, my knee used to slip and the excruciating pain used to kick in. I've had fractures before but goddamn the knee ligament pain is probably 3x worse. I've contacted many doctors and orthopaedics and all of em' have given me no hope to help me provide a permanent solution to this knee slip problem that comes up when I even attempt to play the game. They've either recommended a surgery which they is risky as it might tear again when I play or they've recommended just physiotherapy but the latter approach hasn't worked for me. I really wish to get back atleast in some form coz I miss the game so much. I also swim and brisk walk to keep myself fit but nothing gives me the joy football used to give me. Any folks who can help me out here or share their experience if any! Much appreciated đź‘Ť
