So I am looking at diversifying a bit. We are probably talking about 40k$-50k$ and I am primarily looking at a mixed risk bag of US stock. 
Semiconductor market: Nvda, Avgo, Smci, Amd

What strategy would ya’al suggest? 
What other stock should I be looking at? 
Wanting to keep the maximum number of unique stock to be 5 and of course, preferring to not loose the principal lol. Medium term goals (~2y for a hopeful 2x+). Thoughts? 💭

I want to invest in US stocks like msft, apple and alphabet from India. Are there any other options apart from vested or ind money ?
Last year I saw news about nse ifsc through which we can investly directly in US stocks without the need of having an brokerage account there. Did any body invest through this route ?
Any one did math and found out a route to invest using low forex charges please help here.

Looking for inputs on topics such as, 
1. Should one go for ETFs like MON100, etc or use apps like indmoney, vested etc, how's your experience here.

Thoughts on US equity investing

Every month my salary gets credited I barely spend 20% of it the rest of it is just sitting around in my bank account it's already above 5L. I keep thinking of investing it in stocks/mf but it's a lot of work 😔

I don’t have much knowledge about investing, for now i have following investments

- 10 Lac in FD
- 5 Lac in stock where I have bought stocks of well known large cap company without any analysis assuming that it will grow in long term

How does one invest in US stocks directly? Which app/ platform is the best and safest?

Hi folks

I'm a 21 year old, investing 1000 each into 35 mutual funds
Taking my SIP to 35k per month 

Just to set the context, apart from this, I'm passively investing into ipo's and stocks as well for the long term.

I've read at a lot of places that investing in more than 10 mutual funds is a foolish choice, because most of your stocks are going to be overlapping. But I don't understand why it's called foolish?

There can't be a 100% overlap of portfolio between any 2 mutual fund houses, there is always going to be a significant difference, which adds to the risk diversification any which ways, because my money is spread across multiple set of stocks and across different fund manager brains as well, for e.g. one might sell some of my stock at a high or a low, while other might not.

My diversification is -
45% small cap
25% mid cap
10% large cap
Rest growth or sectoral

I'm open for any feedback/criticism or suggestions even.

Which stocks according to you are undervalued and why(Ind and US stocks)

For me - Meta, Weibo and alibaba are significantly undervalued.(All US listed)

Hi all,
Can u folks suggest a good Brokerage firm for investing in US market from India? So far I looked at vested it looks good. I did checkout indmoney but it asks for a lot of details. Are there any other prominent brokerage firms and which one I should stick too?

I’ll go first. 

1. What kind of investor are you? 
I am an opportunity investor, and I do buy good stocks whenever they are in reasonable valuations. Below are my monthly numbers. 

2. Where’s the majority of your investment portfolio ?
I have three RE investments and one of them has loan. And I’m planning to buy a property in Goa or HP. 

3. What’s your monthly investment breakdown?

1.7L/ Month (approx) 

60k - SIP (mutual funds)
60k - stocks (smallcase, us stocks using vested) 
30k - as opportunity fund, this is transferred to a different bank account 
10-20k - for experimental investments in crypto, nfts, and some trading. This is a new segment and I don’t have much experience in this and that’s why starting small here. 

4. Anything else you want to share? 

I am learning to invest on a daily basis. Reading, videos and podcasts are my sources. Some of my tops picks are Whiteboard finance (Marko), My first Million and Smart Passive Income, finance with Saran, and Akshat Shrivastava.
