Honest feedback on scalar fullstack course
Hi All, I am a frontend engineer with 7 years of work experience and have worked partially in BE too. I am looking for a serious Fullstack course to upskill and structure this learning. I came across scalar academy and exploring it. My concern with Scalar course is the time duration. They are 10 months long and live classes. Has anyone here tried or is aware of Scalar course and should I enroll for that at my current work experience?

Scaler is good no doubt about it. But it is mainly for folks who are in college or are recent graduates. For 7 year exp, as a Scaler alumni myself, I wouldn’t recommend joining it. Lots of online resources are available which you can get for free or by spending little money. Even the time duration is way too long for experienced people like you. Not worth it. :)

Why not just learn yourself. At 7yr exp, I think you'll be able to grok things faster for free from online free wares

Tldr - Will not recommend
Pros - Quality and structured content
Cons -
- Currently founder's focus is not on Scaler Academy (Full stack) but on SST which is for college students.
- There is no way back, once you enrolled you can't take a refund after the trial. 1000s of learners are facing the problem.
- The placement status is the same as of Allen, Resonance, you can check your website says 3500 students placed on a higher end, and currently the leaner count is more than 50,000
- Don't get into the alumni trap - they get incentives for getting students enrolled (that's why they say positive things)
- Every youtube video, story, and LinkedIn post is paid.

You can get the recorded videos also , people have posted in telegram channels so you can watch and decide

All scaler courses are very basic and you can get much better content over udemy paid courses plus there u have lifetime subscription and professional tutors unlike recent college grads teaching in scaler . Scaler main focus is on college grads hence opened SST so now complete focus will be on that market and we all know level of knowledge expected from fresh college grad
