How are things at upGrad?

I'm tired of people calling everything in edtech a scam, of course the companies don't help themselves by their bs marketing and unattainable placement claims and other bullshit But I'm genuinely curious as to what grapers/ grapies / viners find to be not a scam in edtech ?

What's the situation of edtechs in India? Any positive signs after BYJU's raised money?

I have been on this journey for a long time now. Lots of failure comes with loads of learning. Each step or initiative I took has helped me grow as a person, the business guy (ed-tech, media space), and also in terms of technicalities (full-stack product management, hardcore hands-on into technology and I love user experience) Ps: currently running an edtech startup in pre-seed/seed stage Feel free to ask anything, would be happy to help even personally

Will these cash burning companies just continue raising money and biding time or will they implode soon? Not well informed on this, genuinely want to know how this works And what happens to their 1000s of employees

- Not a great growth story. - IITian founders and one of the earliest Ed techs and yet shit revenue after a fucking decade - shit branding - replacing we with V in all comms is not Branding - shit product - PW, Unacademy and many late comers have eaten up their market share - K12 is still their only or majority revenue, couldn’t expand into other categories at all Any Vedan’s or ex Vedan’s welcome to provide constructive review in the comments. What gives?

Unacademy has just laid off the entire team of NextLevel and will be shutting the business. It is interesting to note that Relevel underwent a major pivot after failure and was rebranded to NextLevel. Gaurav apparently blindly wrote how this product will take on LinkedIn and make CV's redundant. Guess another unacademy experiment has failed but several employees are facing the brunt of the CEO's immature experimental nature.

I saw an ad on Business Analytics course by Upgrad it's worth 40k with placement assistance, and guaranteed 3 Interviews, are they really worth it or it's just advertising bs
