I am planning to save some % of my salary every month and go on a trip at the end of the year.

My plan is to save around 3k-5k every month apart from my usual monthly investments. 

I haven't planned anything yet so I am open to your suggestions.

P.S. Not seeking directions, just some sane advice. I was in a murky situation with PNB a few years ago, and I successfully managed to accumulate and now they are doing handsomely!

Paytm stocks lying in my holdings, every time I successfully accumulate more to average out my price, something goes south and the stocks crash. I have patience, and can accumulate some more. Any sound advice?

RBI is a big bully, everybody knows that. RBI has bullied the likes of HDFC, ICICI and a lot of fintech startups. All it wants is that these folks are compliant with the rules.

RBI is one of the most stringent Central banks in the world. This also ensures a lot of financial stability in the country, sometimes overdoing the regulations.

Once you fix the systems and comply with RBI, business is back to usual. This has been the trend in all the notices that have been sent across to all the different companies. Paytm should be no different.

Paytm has a book value of 205. In case the stock hits a few more lower circuits, in the words of Ashneer Grover, it'll be a "Screaming buy".

Every good opportunity comes with a lot of risk. The primary risk here is that Paytm doesn't get its act straight and RBI at the end of February imposes the actions that are mentioned in the circular.
 Next line in such a case. Well the money is lost but if they fix the necessary things within time then it's going to be a jackpot.

Catching falling knives is never easy, and it's bound to hurt you, but hey, "Risk He Toh Ishq He".

Next lower circuit is ~487rs 
The one after it is ~390rs.

I think anything under 500 is great price without the RBI impact. If it hits the circuit tomorrow, I'll start buying on Monday. If it doesn't, well, salary is already credited, so it's time for some risky investment.

Going to buy Paytm Stock

PAYTM Payments Bank essentially asked to shut shop. 

Afaik here are the few implications
1. Stock market will react in a bad way to them
2. Worst affected are going to be FasTag users who bought from PayTM.
3. No deposits / credits allowed in any account. Withdrawal is allowed. 
4. UPI not allowed after Feb

Paytm gets a shock from RBI

That stock is about to crash so fucking hard. Thank god i got out. The crappiest IPO of this decade.

Just went through RBI's note and developments as per major news houses, so Paytm would no longer be an app which used to be in almost every indian's phone march onwards. such a downfall of a firm who enjoyed their best time post covid.

Bhyi anyone knows how can i withdraw/utilise my food wallet from Paytm. Got 1.5k bucks there, don't wanna give a penny to Vijay.. any ideas?

On a serious note, i'm gonna miss paytm. it was an great app, atleast their wallet was the best ever, better than upi since the txn can't be unsuccessful. also they brought one of a kind revolution in e payments.

The show cause notice now about misrepresentation of facts. Not sure if they really made so many mistakes, or are being stopped from becoming something for other reasons.

- A significant investment from a major corporate house could enable Paytm to revive its business faster and avoid future regulatory shocks.
- Bernstein projects that Paytm, in its current form, is well-poised to achieve profitability by FY27.
- The brokerage firm believes that rapidly scaling up secured lending and getting a share of the merchant discount rate on UPI payments could drive profitability faster by FY26.
- Paytm's losses have soared due to the RBI barring its payments bank arm from business activities and the government's reduced budgetary allocation for digital payments.

I’m wondering where did VSS got the cash to buy 10% of PayTM. Some rough estimates suggest it would be at least $500 million. That’s a lot of cash or is my rough math wrong. 

Did he do something like Ritesh/Oyo buyback which was peculiar or could it be at a discount. 

I’m wondering if anyone has any thoughts or idea if what could happen.
