How do I break into Product Management as a fresher.

I am a 3rd year student from tier -3 private college, pursuing btech is it possible to get PM roles just after under graduation, have seen people from tier -1/2 pursuing vague branches like coal mineral sort of engineering and still be able to crack roles as a PM at tech companies . Also one should aim for a role like this after undergrad or just it demands more exp? Also any roadmap you would recommend

Tier 3 CS undergrad (Sophomore/Second Year) I see most of my batchmates are into tech. None of them are interested in product management. So I wanted to give it a try. How to build a profile for PM? Also I don't find opportunities for PM at UG level and the ones which are displayed on LinkedIn etc. are only for Tier 1 students mainly IITs and IIMs.

Hello everyone, This is my first post. I am a recent graduate from NIT, and unfortunately, I haven't been able to get a placement. My career goal is to work in a Product Management (PM) role. As a fresher, I've taken the initiative to start learning about this industry I have completed four courses in Product Management, covering areas such as: - Product Analysis - Go-to-Market Strategy - Market Analysis I am eager to apply my skills and start my journey in this exciting field. I am looking for opportunities where I can further develop my expertise and grow as a Product Manager. Any advice or leads on where I can apply to gain more experience would be greatly appreciated. Which companies are hiring for APMs? I have some product building experiences in a couple of early stage startups. Confused on the approach to get into Product roles. FYI: not from BITS :/

I am Stucked in a very weird situation, I am final year mechanical engineering student who was earlier preparing for product management/management consulting entry level roles but due to recession and layoffs and coming from a tier 3 college, I have to change my mind as first is non tech background and second tier 3 college tag , it was looking difficult for me to get an opportunity , I started preparing for gate but now after spending 6-7 months , I am realising, it never aligned with my goals , now what should I do I want to pivot to business analyst/entry product roles any how , I am graduating in June 2024 , neither I have much time left nor good companies are coming for placements , please help me out community

Hi guys. My company is probably going to go under soon. I am from a decent Grad college which is not famous and from a worse MBA college which no one knows. I have 2 yoe as a Data PM. This is my order of priority: 1. A big company which won't fire people for the next 3-4 yrs. 2. AI Product Management. I know stuff but very little experience. No formal education here. 3. Fintech since my current role involves finance and accounting stuff Would love referrals, mentorship and gyaan.
