How do I reach a leadership position in data science?

I have close to 6 years of experience as a data scientist- all hands on role. I lead workstreams & small sub teams. From here, how do I upgrade myself to a more leadership position in data science roles?

Most of my experience lies in traditional ML using python with a concentration in Pharma/Healthcare Industry.

What kind of skills should I pick up? And what kind of companies/roles I should aim for?

PS: I also completed my MBA recently.
