How do you remember your, mom, dad passwords ?
My mom dad usually forget their email, internet banking sometimes atm card’s password. I also forget lot of passwords of emails, internet banking etc… Are any good password managers available for free?

I use bitwarden.

Good thing is that it is open source.

Cap here:
Go with bitwarden. It’s free and opensource. And for the backup I also use protonpass, it’s a secondary choice. Never ever use the browsers built-in pass managers.
It’ll be easier for parents to autofill the password from either of these sites. Just that they should remember the vault password.

How's protonpass? I like that it also offers 2FA compared to BW, but don't like having all my eggs in one basket.

Mostly, I use both. Whichever is easier, depends on the site. Protonpass do have 2FA setup, and icon comes right at the username-password fillup area.
But I’ll pass the 2FA from proton, I prefer other authenticators for that purpose. It’s too much risky to rely on, you lose your account everything is gone.

Something I learnt from my dad. It’s old school. Writing my passwords in diary. Both me and my spouse share it and only we know where we keep the diary at home.
Yup we do this too. Very safe and you can keep updating the password. We have a few fail safe procedures as well.

Fail safe procedure in case the dairy is lost right or for any other situation?
I've been using Dashlane for a few years. Its expensive though - ~450 a month.
Other options are: 1Password or Bitwarden which are a big cheaper.

Dude , use the simple method
Excel sheet in G drive. Note down every account with user id and password. Use the lock version so that only you and your parents are privy to it.
This will help both you and parents to sync at any point.

This is so horribly insecure on so many levels. No wonder cyber crime is on the rise.

Worked out for me and my partner
