Learn more in depth about how different parts of browser interact with each other, what’s  the real logic behind state changes, how browser actually works, how does it handle web APIs, dom manipulation in depth  
 Once you are done with these things move towards architecture kind of things like what is micro-frontend architecture, how communication happens between Frontend server and database, how pipelines work  
  
 Slowly slowly start progressing with advanced topics and you will keep getting better and better

I have 3 YOE and have been working exclusively with React, Typescript and NextJS throughout my career.

Wanted to know how and what resources I can use to upskill myself with more in-depth knowledge in frontend. 

Primarily looking for frontend system architecture LLDs and HLDs, building microfrontends and explore any newer technologies in demand.

Any good AWS cloud provider courses dedicated towards frontend developers.

How to upskill as Senior Frontend SDE ?

When I saw Twitter and LinkedIn most of people titles shows fullstack developer and here I am afraid of calling my self a frontend enginner, because there is so much to learn in each domain itself.

Currently, I am working as a Frontend Developer in my current company and each day I am learning something new in Frontend. 

My question is that, should I continue exploring Frontend in my initial years and gradually explore other domains like backend or devops.

Because, I stunned by looking at the Job description of the companies that are hiring even for entry level jobs.

I wanted to your thoughts on this, What you do in your company and how you all improve the domain you are working on.

How to become a better software engineer?

I recently joined a company that utilizes AngularJS and has a lot of custom tooling. The project is well-structured, and I am learning new things. However, I've started to develop a fear that I might be missing out on a shiny new framework and will have a lot to catch up on later. Do all big tech companies constantly move to new, stable technologies? How do you keep up with the JavaScript world?

System Engineer

I work in a startup. We're currently on an ongoing pivot. I started working here as a founding engineer. I have worked here for around 2 years now. Majorly i worked on frontend part with react native (which is totally a new thing for me when i joined). During my tenure here there was no senior engineer who could review my work and give me the skills i required to build my career. Our founder was happy if the app was working fine. During the initial phase we needed to launch the app as soon as possible so i quickly learned the basic things i needed to make an app with react native. In this time all of these things (js and web world) are very new to me as i was coming from developing native android apps with java. Now im trying to switch so that i can work with a team of experienced engineers. While attempting interviews for frontend engineer, I found that whatever I've done in my current job was nothing more than a college project and I really didn't got to learn any industry level stuff. I'm feeling like im still a fresher out of college. 

I tried working on my frontend skills but as we all know it's a very huge field. Html, css, js, frontend frameworks, hell lot of libraries.

I'm feeling so overwhelmed.

Whenever i attend a new interview i get to know new concepts which i never knew exist.


Any suggestions for me guys?

I am a 3YoE backend developer with little AI role and web development experience in the industry and I wanted to grow my career as more like an ✨Elite Engineer✨ who not just builds stuff but optimizes it to the core, oversees the future bottlenecks, the alternative approaches blah blah and you get the point. But the problem is that my learning is all over places. Please suggest/ guide you to be that ✨Elite Engineer✨ if you can. I want to continue to be a backend engineer (no more switching domain)

Disclaimer: I don’t want to do it because of the money (of course I need a future) but to have a solid understanding of it (it would be great if I end up as SDE)

I’m a Frontend Engineer (React JS ) with around 5 years of experience. I have recently started focusing on levelling up my technical skills to land a Senior Frontend Role at a MANG level company. My timeline is ~ 6-9 months. 

Resources I am currently using:
1. Web dev by Google : to revise and improve my knowledge of web development basics. 
2. Patterns.dev : To learn about various JS patterns.
3. Greatfrontend.com : To level up on system design. 
4. Leetcode : DSA & Algorithms 

Would like to know if fellow developers have any advice for me! :)

Tips on how to level up as a frontend developer ?

I'm a 2nd year student. Teaching myself native iOS app development + algorithmic problem solving + core CS subjects. Now I have exactly 6 months left before the summer internship cycle starts. Turns out there aren't many iOS focused internships out there and I would very much like to future proof my intern prospects. 
What do you ,experienced folks, suggest I learn so that I can not only make decent projects but also contribute and learn while interning. 
Right now I'm inclined towards learning 
Backend development in Java+Spring Boot.
If you have any other suggestions, kindly send them my way. 
Also to the folks who work with Java/Spring Boot, what level of complexity of projects would be the bare minimum to leave a good impression?

What to learn? : Sophomore Edition

Hi folks, I am a frontend engineer. A bit of background about me:

- Exp: 4 years
- Tech: Over the years, I have only worked on frontend and some build tooling. For all these years I have only used JS/TS and ReactJS to the point where I currently feel handicapped in other languages.

My problem with frontend:

Most companies I have worked till now except for one, frontend is just converting the UI designs to UI code as fast as possible. Most companies do not offer much time to think about different cases for a component and write it well. Its mostly, if it works then push. Contrast to this, BE does get proper design + arch to ensure it scales well with future requirements.

Why I am thinking of backend/fullstack roles?

Seems better from future point of view. Progression is clear in BE, lot more roles it seems, interview process is mostly standard. In FE its sometimes FE releated, some DSA etc. So never sure what they going to ask. Also, progression in FE is bit unclear and how to make a case for it.

What are my options?
1) In my current company, BE is Java + Springboot, I have started doing some BE tasks here and there but seems Java + Springboot is a mammoth and I dont know if I will be good enough for a switch of roles with this experience. Switching inside the company feels a far fetched dream since there are far less number of FE devs and I have to mostly work on FE tasks one after the other because of scarcity.

2) Learn and do some side projects in Node.js since already familiar with JS and also had done some small APIs(freecodecamp) based on nodejs in the past.

3) Learn python, good for backend software dev + good for ml also going forward. Seems easier than Java to get started with django.

Primary confusion between  2 & 3 is, does side project make any difference when switching for roles or will actual job experience with option 1 be of more value even though it will take a long long time? 

Please suggest if someone has switched roles before.
