Hi all,
I am currently interning at a US medical device healthcare giant.
Its been close to 5 months I'm here. Till now I haven't been assigned any implementation tasks
All I get to do is dry runs, debugging and documentation

PPO is also not guaranteed. It's based on performance.
I feel very scared what would happen if I don't get the PPO. Apart from that, I feel shy asking help from seniors because
a) They are super busy. Always on meetings
b) I feel they would think I'm stupid for asking silly doubts

Even no proper KTs have been given. It's like F around and figure out.

Please advice me how to actually come out of this situation. This is my first corporate experience and I feel worried and scared each day

This thing has been bugging me so much that I setup a meeting with my manager but here’s the thing- I have no idea how to talk about this to my manager. I have joined a company in Nov-22. I am performing really well and hence, my managers (both onshore and offshore) are very happy with my performance.

Recently, my manager (and us 3 reporting to her) have been put under a Sr. Manager.
The dynamics have been difficult between my Manager and the Sr. Manager.
Now, my rapport is good with both of them (as this is being supported by my positive feedback from multiple projects and BU owners).

As I am connected with my manager (who keeps it with herself) a bit more as compared to the Sr Manager (who is very outspoken and clearly shares the issues he has with her approach).

I know and understand very well that I might just be a spawn for both of them in case of unforeseen issues.

Could you all please guide me how to manage the connection with both?

I have been thinking about focusing on my job and keeping "close distance" with both. Would this help? Or based on your experiences, is there any other approach that I should explore?

I work for a early stage startup (A) right now since about 1.5yrs at base 18lpa (no appraisal since my tenure even though I was told they have a bi-annual cycle, but It never happened)

I have another company (B), willing to offer base 28lpa (but will require relocation). 

I still haven't interviewed at B, and was wondering if i can should talk to A asking for an appraisal? I'm also not sure if i should mention about B at all. 

How much i understand A will be like let us launch something and then we can talk about appraisals, but this has been going on since a year now and we tend to change the architecture or the methodology everytime we almost have something ready to ship. 


That being said still I'd rather stay at A than relocate for B at the moment. 

How should I go about this, any suggestions? TIA

Immediate response was to say that it’ll be tough to manage the project and that long a leave isn’t possible

They are actually wiser and more experienced but it has become a taboo that if you are touching 50 and aren’t already a business leader then you have lost the plot . Your current organisation does not value you and feels age is a barrier to growth . And external companies who are hiring want younger leaders . So experienced people who have seen various ups and downs , weathered so many storms and have the deep rooted knowledge and experience … what do they do ahead ? Everybody does not have money to open their own startup . People say do a course , enhance your skill sets . After that what ? My manager is asking me to be on-call on Diwali and has asked me to report in person. This is absolute stupidity.
Although I will be compensated at 2.5x of my hourly pay but I would rather spend time with my family.

What should I do? I have already tried to indicate that I have old parents and I want to spend as much time with them as possible especially given the limited moments I get to celebrate special occasions with them.

I am currently facing a challenging situation at work and could really use some advice from those with more experience. I’ve recently joined a new project which one of the older team member is handling. However, I’m experiencing some serious issues with his behavior.

He frequently blames me for things that haven’t been communicated properly and acts as if he is the boss, which isn’t the case. This has made me feel undervalued and unsure about my own abilities. 

Is this a common issue? How should I handle this situation? I’m concerned about how it’s affecting my confidence and performance at work.

He even told me that I don’t clearly know what is expected from me and I don’t know how to do the tasks better.

Any suggestions on how to address this would be greatly appreciated. Since he is much more experienced than me I don’t know what to do.

I'm in my first product management job and have been here for a while (3+ years). Altho it's been great past few years, I'm beginning to feel a lack of excitement towards it. 
 I'm also a bit unsure of how to plan my future career trajectory. More & more PM jobs now require domain experience. I don't know what domains should I switch to or which domains would even accept me. Such thoughts make me feel paralysed from acting on my current situation and really bring down my confidence. 
I feel like talking to someone who has seen a few cycles in the industry can help me navigate this situation better. I can't talk to my office seniors about it coz I don't want them to get a hint that I'm planning to switch. And since it's my first job there isn't anyone else left to take advise from either.

There is this guy who is like 3-4 yrs experience but behaves like he is the boss when manager isn't around

Ruins standups every day with digressions and lengthy non sensical updates

He started trying overpower me with some nasty remarks 

Everybody is fed up with him,
With holds information, 
Treated interns as shit
Even seniors are troubled but don't confront aggressively

Got to know one of the recent left employee has reprimanded him and also shared the conflict with higher ups

They are saying no use as he behaves well with manager and his manager

I literally want to confront him and say to behave and act professionally

With his snarky remarks some of my days going bad
Being 11 years experience I feel so frustrated that I am still facing these narcissists


Please advise how to treat this prick in a good way and stop worrying


Ps I am all ok with years of  experience always feel good work place is major contribution for any ones win
