How to know about Product Management in India?
There are lots of videos and blogs from US PMs, but nothing from Indian PMs. What am I missing?
You are missing nothing. PMing is a new function relative to other defined roles in software industry. Like many other things, it originated within US Tech companies, at the same time lots of Indians took pole positions with US ecosystems. I don’t see a reason for you to be constrained by Indian product leaders, it’s a horizontal-tech world. Learn from wherever you can.

It’ll be good to know what Indian PMs are upto. What if hardly few PM jobs exist here and the PM learning courses are a waste of time and money 🤔
Agree, PM courses in India rotates around “How to crack PM interview”. TAM is big and making money is easy.
PM learnings are very context driven, maybe you can try Lenny’s newsletter. As many of product problems of MNCs solve global pain points, I think finding Indian problems would be tricky. Some problems on top of my head are -
1. Soundbox innovation by PayTM
2. Phone no last digits as OTP by Rapido
3. The whole UPI design by NPCI
4. How ONDC is helping small retailers
Try googling these and you will be able to zero-in India specific problem with product authors.

Slack groups like The Product Folks are mostly for learning skills. It doesn’t have discussions from experienced PMs.
Hey! I was also struggling from this. Hence I made the platform Pearmock (https://pearmock.com). It is a free gamified platform where you can practice mocks and earn points. As you level up, you unlock incentives like networking and more! Why don't you try it once?
