Hey folks, I want to dip my hand in freelancing. My job is quite laid back and i have a lot of free time. I have been grinding leetcode in my free time but I'm bored of it. So, I decided why not use this to expand my real working knowledge and earn some side income too. Any experienced freelance person, please guide on how to start and where to. I am a working professional with 2 years of experience in Customer service serving clients globally till 2022. In 2023 started my data analyst training to get into It companies for the technical domain and In 2023 end started working as a business analyst for a Pvt Ltd company and left because of the mental distress due to company policies and left the job, move to hometown to get better. Now I am working with my friends startup and do not have many projects in hand I wanted to help him to get more projects so I started working on freelance platforms to get projects. Teammates can guide me to get more projects so that I can help my friends startup to get a financial fit. Also i am looking for another job because I am not able to learn more with him 😞.

I’m try to get some freelance work for side income and it’s quite difficult to get freelance clients initially through portals.

Any tips on how to get started. I along with two of my friends are looking to get into freelancing. And we are a perfect mix of engineers. I am a Backend dev with 2+ years of experience and one of my friends is a lead AI engineer, the other is a fronted engineer with extensive experience in react. Any help/lead would be much appreciated.
