Seems a little weird that ESOP discussion is postponed to post joining, once you join what leverage do you have in ESOP negotiations ?

Simpl has horrible and toxic work culture. Leadership micromanages like anything. They don’t give you space to breathe. Expected from employees to work extensive hours on weekdays and weekends also. Every thing is a 1 day timeline for leadership. Irrespective of if the task was given to you at 8pm or 8am the previous day. Do not join.

Received an offer for a role with Okta in their new India office as an associate solutions engineer.

24L INR OTE(80:20) + 16L RSU (3 year)

vs

Received another offer from a browserstack competitor startup LambdaTest for a solutions engineer role.

30L INR cash, no OTE. No esops (they're performance based)

Coming from a very niche AI field with experience of 5 years as a freelance developer / sales engineer consultant, but feel like I hit the plateau and now I want to restart my career in a new industry.

Both these companies will be a start from scratch for me.
Okta does need me to move to a new city (so about 6L yearly extra cost) while LambdaTest is remote.

1. Any insights?

2. The work culture can be too aggressive at LambdaTest compared to Okta? Is it worth it? I've mostly been working only 10-20 hour weeks for the past year as I was freelancing.

3. Is there potential for growth more at LambdaTest with that being a startup and all that?

4. With whom am I more likely to be able to pull off studying for unrelated certifications, masters exams, or freelance work?

5. Is taking slightly lesser pay at Okta worth it in terms of job stability and security considering the size of the corp?

 I myself have applied to an entry level opening at a very well known and establish vehicles related product company. Literally entry level role with 6 months to 1.5yr YoE (I have 1YoE), yet I've not got any response. And they keep reposting the same opening over and over and over, to the point where I feel they are actually not hiring, but just updating their hiring work quotas as they were lazy AF HRs all through the FY23-24.

I'm currently a SWE intern at a Series A startup (loss making) and they have offered me a full-time role. They have 2 years of runway.

I also have an offer from a very recently funded seed stage startup (pre revenue) with the same runway. It is a team of 13 people.

As a fresh grad, considering similar pay and growth opportunities, which one should I join?

Role : SDE 1, backend
YOP: 1.5 years

TLDR : I've received a job offer from a startup in Bengaluru with a base package of 14LPA. This opportunity came through a connection who holds a senior position in the company. Currently, I'm employed at an early-stage startup with a small team, working on a great product, with a package of 10LPA.

The story behind this: 
I was laid off from my previous company due to their financial issues. At that time, I informed my manager to keep me in mind for any future opportunities. Subsequently, I joined a smaller startup with a 20% increase in salary as a SDE 1. I am happy with my work-life balance and satisfied with my role in building a successful product with a substantial customer base.

Recently, my previous manager, now in a senior position at a mid-sized startup, referred me for a role. Although my second-round interview didn't go perfectly, I've been offered the position based on his positive feedback, and they are offering me a base salary of 14LPA.

I have responsibility in my current company and my resignation will effect their timeline. also i don't want to ruin my connection with my manage also who offered me the new job.

I'm uncertain about what decision to make. Any advice?

I'm SDE from a tier 2 college, have about 20 mos of backend exp, I have offers from two companies - Company A, which is a Saas startup based out of Pune is offering 11 LPA and company B, a fintech startup based out of Bangalore, which is offering 14 LPA. But company A is offering all cash and Company B is offering Cash plus performance based bonus of 5 lacs.

I am a final year student. I have an oncampus offer from Tekion (Chennai) which is a 6M Internship(onsite) + FTE offer. The offer is low compared to other standard Tekion SDE-1 offers. 
I also have a offer from an early age web3 startup ($3M seed funding). The offer is an internship(remote) + FTE offer and FTE compensation is almost 1.5x times that of former.

Which company should I join? Will the name of Tekion internship on my resume help me get interviews of other better startups for FTE while applying offcampus?

I got three job offers for SDE2. I accepted the offer (30LPA) with the lowest pay but loved the interview process, loved how they didn't waste my time (offer rolled in 2 weeks). Even their Google reviews and Glassdoor has 5 stars. Early stage startup, but they have a tech product with a very bright future (seed funded). And culture is amazing, founders are bright.

Second offer was from a mid-sized fintech startup (series C funded). Offer was for 34 lakhs. The interview process was okay but that set me off was that they wanted to conduct another design round after my final Hiring Manager interview as their team categorised my interview as "Weak Hire". They even told me that to my face. 😂 I cleared the subsequent design round but the whole process was lengthy (1 month).

Third offer is from an AI company with horrible glassdoor reviews. They took 2 months of time to finish the entire interview process. Even the product doesn't seem like it will survive in next 4-5 years. Offer from them is 42 LPA.

I got laid off a couple of months ago, so instead of higher pay I went to the company where I could learn more, get good peers, and increase my skillset. I hope that this decision makes sense. I tried to negotiate with Company A but they were unwilling to go beyond 30, I did mention I have other offers which are higher. 

I didn't include the joining bonus and ESOP components in all companies, but they are there.

Please help me decide if I made the right choice

- 9 Years experience. 
- Current Company - Mphasis.
- 14 LPA CTC. 
- Worked in mostly Financial Services on Business, Data side.

I have a couple of offers from Marlabs and LTI Mindtree, respectively. Offer details below.

Marlabs 
- INR 19 LPA. All fixed.
- Bangalore 
- Consultant Profile (Grade C2)
- not sure about how immediate client side deployment will happen.
- have a lot of Health and Medical industry clients.

LTI Mindtree 
- INR 22 LPA. 20 LPA fixed. 2 LPA Variable. Unsure what has been last 2 year trend on Variable Payout 
- Client interviews to be scheduled post onboarding which sounds a bit weird.
- Sr. BA profile.
- Bangalore 

I have been trying to push my salary since couple of years as I started low and stayed low for longer than I should have. So that's a incentivising me for LTIM. However, I know the culture might be similar to Mphasis which I am not fully upbeat about.
Marlabs has a reputation of not paying a lot. So that's kinda discouraging but the work and the culture seems good from the outside.

Received an offer from Microsoft

You should go for Microsoft even if it isn't optimal at the moment in terms of cash component. In the long run this will pay off by opening a lot more doors in tier1 and FAANG companies or you might get chance to also move onsite to US where you can earn a lot more. ESOPs have no value until the startups make an exit - where the odds are highly against you. Probability would be less than 1%. I've worked with multiple startups and learnt this the hard way. Also as you move up the levels, it gets increasingly more competitive to get into tier1 companies. So get into it while you can.. and think of long term than short term salary deficit. It will pay off..

I have 8 years of experience working as a software Engineer, i worked for 3 startups in these 8 years, Now I am planning to switch and I have 2 offers one from a seed stage start-up and one from Faang like company. What should I choose. I am more into front end development, pay in startup is 10% less which is not a concern for me.
