I am 24 years old, suggest me about insurance.

I amd 24 years old and my income is around 1.5l per month, I want to buy the best insurances possible as I have many minor medical issues nowadays. I came to know that health is the greatest thing for me. Please suggest me or guide me something. I want medical/health insurance which covers OPD also. What things I should be aware of? I expect you guys might have some insights that I can't find on the YouTube.

Hi, It always best to buy health insurance early. Based on our analysis we have found the following insurance policies with the best features - HDFC Ergo optima secure, Tata Medicare Premier and Niva Bupa Aspire. However the best one would depend on your medical needs. In terms of buying health insurance, OPD benefits should not be a key criteria. You should first evaluate plans offering the best IPD features as you are buying insurance to protect yourself from large medical expenses and not smaller ones. The key features which are non negotiable are no room rent limit, no copayments, good No claim bonus, and network hospitals. If after these someone offers OPD benefit as well then it is a win win. A lot of times insurer will charge you extra for OPD benefits which doesn’t make financial sense for you to buy. Right age to get health insurance for self?

I'm 24M, have heard enough from people saying get health insurance at younger age as buying one at younger age has their own advantages like low premiums, tax benefits, negating the effect of waiting period which is usually 4 years for some diseases but i still feel i don't need one until at least 30, as there are very very less chances of hospitalization until 30. I'm getting insurance with 5lakh cover at 9-10k/year, which is totally affordable for me but my middle class mentality kicks in saying - "there is just no need to spend 75-90lakhs until 30 in health insurance premiums as there are very less chances of me getting hospitalized until 30-35" unless there is hospitalization due to unfortunate accidents. What's your opinion on the right age for buying health insurance? Should i go for it and get one for myself?
