I am into Product Management. Any sincere advises please for the career ahead?

Hi, I'm currently working as a Product Analyst at a promising startup, where I've been working on enhancing product delivery processes, keeping a check on deadlines (part of PMO), and driving client adoption for the past 1.5 years. Here my primary responsibilities involve conducting data analysis of projects and tickets, identifying trends and patterns, and providing insights to inform product decisions. However, I'm not directly involved in the core decision-making processes that shape product strategy. This is my first job and I feel there will be nothing specific that I will own in project management and/or process excellence, there is nothing much to grow in this field, and pretty much anybody can replace this task, *please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm particularly fascinated by the prospect of building solutions that will directly impact our clients hence the real world, developing innovative product strategies, and bringing impact to the business. I have some questions and seeking guidance. Insights, personal experiences, or any guidance will help me a lot. Thanks in advance. - Should I consider pursuing a product management role? - Or should I step toward product strategy? - If I need to get into product strategy, how can I do that? is an MBA a must for this kind of role? - Or are there other avenues that might be more suitable for my current skillset and experience?

I am working as a Technical Associate and have 2 yoe How can I explore product management sector. Any suggestions?

I have 5+ years of total experience - 3+ years of BA (business analyst) + Sr BA experience and a year of Product Manager 2 experience. Then I started my own venture. I'm thinking about switching back to the product manager role as my firm is not working as per the expectations and product development & growth marketing is something I genuinely enjoy working on. I need some advice from you all - how can I justify my 'employment gap'? What should I tell (or rather hide) about start-up failure? What should be my approach while applying for PM openings? Where should I start? I have graduated from an IIT, how can I leverage that? I know some of these questions would sound noobish, but I really don't have much experience in switching careers. Your help is appreciated 🙂.

Hey folks, So I work as a product intern and have an offer to join full time as an Associate Product Manager at a Fintech B2B startup upon graduating. So cutting to the chase, Recently I have been under tremendous pressure to deliver a product. Our organisation does not have any senior product manager to help guide and I report directly to the CEO. I have been given far too much responsibility and an extremely sophisticated product has been put in my care. This product requires a lot of technical expertise and we do not have that kind of resources. I have put this point across to my boss multiple times over the past few months and he always says we will do it. He goes and promises clients that this product exists they even did a soft launch of this product when we literally have not built more than a few screens. Our company has a high employee turnover and people keep quitting left right and centre due to the Co-founders toxic attitude. Recently I have been feeling very anxious starting work in the mornings. Most days go late into the nights because the Co founders work in a different time zone. So the dilemma here is this, I feel the urge to quit this job but at the same time I am afraid that another opportunity will not present itself soon. They also pay me pretty well compared to other product intern roles out there. I know a lot of people are out there fighting for a product intern or an APM role and here I have it and am considering quitting. Please feel free to ask me any follow up questions and forgive me if it sounded more like a rant. I am open to hearing your advise. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Hi everyone, I'm a B.Tech. graduate in Computer Science with 7+ years of experience in sales and operations leadership, looking to transition into a product management role (PM/APM). I recently completed a PG certification in Product Management with a specialization in Product Growth, where I honed my skills through projects and assignments. My passion for building and growing products led me to pursue this certification during a career break. In my previous role (3 years), I spearheaded teams, driving revenue, growth, product adoption, customer satisfaction, and churn reduction. I'm eager to leverage my experience and newfound knowledge in product management. Any referrals or leads would be greatly appreciated!

I did my engineering from a very basic college and have not done MBA yet, below is my career graph please suggest if I am at the right path or not 1. Associate Software Engineer- 1 years experience at service based company 2. PMO - same company 1.5 years experience 3. Project Analyst- 6 months service based company 4. Ed-Tech start up- 3 years Senior Program Manager 5. Program Manager- 1.2 years Product Based e-commerce start up( Not Amazon, Flipkart type) 6. Product Manager - 4 months till now, same company My salary growth been like 3.5lpa, 5.5lpa, 6lpa,11lpa, 16lpa,22lpa (all fixed) If I compare to other product managers my salary is very low but I just transitioned to product role and even though it’s very hard for me to learn I am putting 100% effort. Thinking of switching to Product management and similar level roles. I have around 9 years of exp in Saas production implementations. Current organisations doesn’t have any such opportunities. What’s the best way to move forward here! Even open for 5-6 months on campus course. Please advise.

Hey, so to introduce myself. I recently graduated from a new IIM and got into a product manager role at a bank where I have the responsibility of launching a new product. I always thought that I would end up in a sales role and did my internship as a market research intern as well. Now, I have no idea how to proceed with my current role. I have no tech background with a bachelor's in science and MBA in marketing & strategy. Would like to know if I should stay in this role(tbh I like the tasks) or should I change to sales because a fresher with no tech background would always be at a disadvantage And if I choose to stay, how do I go on from here? What skills/certifications/steps should I take. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
