Which is a sport that you always wanted to play or learn? But didn’t get chance until now

I have generally seen this either in reel / film life or real life, where people who love what they do, tend to be -
1. Much more happier / satisfied everyday
2. They give way more of themselves into the task not because someone demands it, but because they want to, they enjoy it
3. They constantly improve and be better at this thing
4. They aren't in it for the money. They don't do things or learn more or put more hours because it's paying them, they do it because of the love for the thing. Money is just an add-on

Do you guys have anything like this in life which you enjoy doing so much and can do it without thinking about the money you'd get. This thing shouldn't be something you consume, but something you produce, even if it helps 1 person out, still counts!

Eg. You do coding, learn new things in it, not because it pays you, but because it's what you love doing. You'd probably still keep doing it even if it doesn't pay you anything

Commendable effort to reach the playoffs though - Kohli was superb, and Dayal's was the comeback story of the tournament

I might sound biased but hear me out.

Therepists are cheapstake businessmen/businesswomen anyway.

We are always questioned for sharing stuff

They pretend that they are listening to us but all they care about is their fees. They keep looking at the clock as to when the session would get concluded. They secreatly 

"But why would you blame all the therapists just because yours was toxic?". Nice question.

The moment you open up, they start drawing a perception. That point on, they only look down upon you as a person and consider you a massive loser. They might say the opposite but they dont really mean any of that.

My therapist, she went out of the way to convince me that I dont deserve to be loved. She pointed out that just because I feel too many things at once, I might have trouble emotionally satisfying a woman and should be okay with lonliness. She suggested me to play a sport, not because she wanted me to stay fit, but simply because "being sporty might increase my masculanity". I have never been good at sports (never interested me).  I have always been into music and poetry. I have been composing music since I was 16. I have no regrets. Why would you berate me just because my hobbies dont fit into a certain mould. I have heard enough from other people about not being sporty. 

Victim blaming must be stopped in the pretext of "only you can help yourself" or "work on those factors which you control".

Men cant reveal their problems to their friends and family as they would start judging them. They cant even share such concerns with their romantic partners because of the fear of losing them or sounding incompatible. And voila !
Medical therapy also turned out to be a sham for men.

Flair forgotten, passion to profit.

Hi all,
I have been wondering for the past few days, why we have such a poor sporting culture in our country?

China used to be like us in the 80s, with very few medals in the Olympics (if I consider the Olympics medals as a metric). But they worked really well and efficiently towards the problem by forming clusters of games, healthy competition, focusing on more medal oriented sports (badminton, swimming for instance).

I wonder if it is only government policies and bureaucracy which has destroyed the sports culture?
What are other things which we can correct at our level if possible?

Or do we continue like this only in the future?

I genuinely don’t feel like we are hosting a cricket World Cup in our country this year. In 2011, the hype and craze around us hosting was way higher. Stadiums were better filled them for other games apart from Indian games, while I saw at least 5-10% empty seats even for the India v Aus game even though everything was apparently sold out in minutes on BMS? 

Is it a PR/marketing problem or is the hype from the sport just not great anymore?

Hello folks - I recently completed 10 months at Grapevine, and wanted to write a public shoutout to my boss @Micheal_Scott

What stood out the most for me is the general empathy he has shown. 

I have a leg injury now, but previously used to be really excellent at playing hockey.
One day @Micheal_Scott got slightly angry at something I said (I was just trying to make him aware of DM bug) and he broke my leg into pieces with my hockey stick.

But out of a strong heart, he immediately took me to the hospital and put a fake leg on me.

From someone in their tech team, got to know very curious insights. 

CrickPe is built on Solidity smart contracts that automatically enforce performance bonuses for cricketers. 

However, the underlying logic is enforced on an ELO based system with log-normal rewards. Essentially, if a cricketer rewards are:

Reward = Expected(reward) +- log(performance). 

Their ELO is similarly adjusted on a match by match basis. 

Also,
Insider reveal is that, VC community is keen on investing and Ashneer is considering raising funds but has made clear that he is willing to liquidate only till he has majority stake in the venture, although aiming at closer to ~75%.

Also, they are experimenting with NFTs linked to rewards that give you insider access to pre-game locker room access with your favourite teams, flying you out to international matches abroad, etc. This will also be tradeable in-app. They are apparently looking for Blockchain Devs/interns for that.

Finally, the biggest news. They’ve apparently launched a bid to get a fan-experience zone specific to CrickPe in the stadiums during IPL. The plan is to sell these tickets at a higher cost. Fans who watch games from this zone get to play a special variant where the highest scorer is given their reward from the MOTM.
