I feel I'm underpaid vs my impact

I'm in Founder's office role, and a part of the work requires prospecting for hires for a team. On the first day, I pulled out a list of potential hires, but it was brushed aside. Now the team head posts on social media that they are looking for someone to fill that role (I had list for), and referral will get the approx INR 2.4L My monthly salary is also not INR 2.4L! I am so pissed. How do I convey this professionally and (also ask for the slice of cake) I obviously have data ready and can get someone to join, but it won't get me even 1 p from 2.4L

Hi, So I've working in a pre-seed stage startup for 1 year 3+months, Company is still in process to get it's next round of funding, hence my increment is still in half-backed stage. The base was increased from 20L to 30L(promised), Which was my least expected number to stay in the team. To this I retaliated with my background, skills and lesser pay for the last year. but CTO has told me that this is max (or little more) I can get in the current market. Since the last 3-4 years trend being 2+ years experienced, IIT, GSOC and with leading the backend team, even in this recession market I believe to be paid near or fully 40L base + ESOPs. Help me if you're active in the job market as seekers/recruiters, if the CTO is right here.

Urgent advice needed. Have an ‘marketing head’ offer from a small tech product company. Total 20 YOE. Switching industry. How much salary should I expect? It’s not exactly a startup in the true sense of the term. A legacy company which has “transformed” itself.

I am a Tier 1 MBA grad with ~ 2 YOE, My CTC is 18 LPA. I have quit my job and I'm expecting a 25-30% hike for the next role (23 LPA) Is this a valid expectation to have? I know I'm already being underpaid, but considering the current market situation it seems difficult to get that kind of a raise. What should be the appropriate amount to quote?

Currently working with series A startup as product marketing manager at 23lpa. Joined them in july at near zero increment because last company shut down. Have proven my metal here and getting extra responsibilities. How to negotiate with them for good appraisal in the coming cycle in march.

Just wanted to check if my compensation is as per industry standards. I have 2.5 years of exp as a ML Engineer (focused on deep learning and computer vision). Graduated from tier 3 college in 2020 but have pretty good skill sets for the domain. Joined a Series C funded startup last year in July for BP of 14.5LPA along with JB of 1L and ESOPs worth ~7L. Just got an appraisal of 10% now and now my base is ~16L. I feel I should have got more appraisal considering my compensation is low for my experience and I should be having somewhere around 18-20L. Am I thinking correct or is it me being greedy?

I’m a software engineer at a mid size company. I have 1y3mo of work ex. Appraisals are around the corner, and although the work is great, the pay not so much. I earn less than 10LPA. How much of a hike should I deserve in this market assuming I have done a good job.

I have been one of the lucky ones to have made a switch to a new company just before the layoff season began. I had multiple offers at the time, but ultimately chose one where I was getting to build something from scratch in a large organization at my current designation and was also getting a good hike (20%). The offers I dropped had a better title with a team to manage. However, the options were to either take a pay cut to join a Series A company or a large organization with a known bad work culture. Off late, I'm feeling a little frustrated with the new job. I feel like I won't get chance to move to a better title for atleast a year. Since the recession period has kicked in, the new team needs to show results in order to get a promotion and the targets are quite steep for that. There is some learning that I have while building this product and that is definitely a motivation, but also feel I'm missed out an opportunity to move to next level in career. On one hand, I feel like I should have taken the pay cut to join the series A startup. On the other hand, I also feel that I should be happy that I'm getting comfortably more pay at a time where folks are having poor appraisals, pay cuts or even getting laid off. Given a choice between title and money what would you choose?

Hey y'all, I'm a T shaped Engineer with specialisation in MLOps/Devops at a hardware+software stealth start up. Experienced in full stack, ML deployments, AWS, Kubernetes, Python, Kotlin and handling scale. On paper YoE: 8+ 3 years was with family business ( in tech), so if that is ignored 5+ YoE across the board in ML. The perks I get are work life balance and unlimited leaves and leaves compensation if any public holiday falls on a weekend. Currently being paid 32lpa base, no variables. I'm confused if this is good pay since I have a varied set of skills. The company has spoiled me by making me "time rich" so I don't feel like leaving. (Especially since I was burnt out when I desperately left and joined the current place) I know friends who do just backend getting paid 45 lpa but with no work life balance. And often times in discussions with them I feel like I can do their job easily (because of the varied skillset). I'm Fortunate enough to be in a place that did salary corrections even though other companies are laying off and appraisals are incoming in Q1. I'm confused, what's a good number that I deserve?
