After 2 years he stands at 15% while mine is at 27% unrealised profit.

IRCTC, JIOFIN, OIL INDIA and gold were among the decent winners, Naukri dragged the rest of wins down but others are also mostly in the green.

If she had listened to all of my advice it would have been better returns, but there's still room to grow and portfolio will be fine. Might set a few stop losses in place soon.

Highly recommend everyone to learn the basics of trading, you never know what wonders you could do yourselves. Don't play with leverage or options though, do your own research.

Hi everyone,

The year end is here. It was a great year for my FIRE journey and I thought I'll share an update with you all.

With few days left in 2023, I've crossed 2.65 CR in net worth after touching 2 CR in May this year.

Here's the breakup:

Direct shares: 1.7 CR (this was the major driver of growth),
ELSS: 0.06 CR,
Company shares: 0.06 CR,
Real Estate: 0.4 CR (while it is between 42-45 now, keeping this unchanged from May),
EPF: 0.34 CR (interest for last year kicked in),
NPS: 0.06 CR (investing because I'm in 30% bracket, getting 14.8% xirr here),
SGB: 0.03 CR

The driver for growth has been a high saving rate.

In 2023, i've added 29.5 lakhs in equity, about 2.5 lakhs every month. 6 lakhs in company shares (US listed). The EPF and NPS savings are on top of this. My target was to save 36 lakhs in equity overall, and it's done! Targeting the same for next year. I'm aiming to cross 2 CR in equity before July 24.

Another change I did this year is that I've moved away from active advisory. I get the stock ideas from Twitter discussions, analyse them fundamentally and take bets based on the charts. I'm quite confident of my charting skills with max drawdown of 25-30% but upside of multiple x. I could capture 2-3 2x this year with sizable investment in them. I got this confidence after i could take my wife's account from 11 lakhs to 20 lakhs in about 2 years.

While the next year can be a huge bull run if BJP wins, I'm still trying to diversify. I'm planning to add a real estate of about 75 lakhs by paying 10%. This will help me leverage as well. The rental yield is the property is approx 5% and calculations show that I'll have to only pay 40-45% of the EMI and rest will be covered through rent. This should bring my equity exposure down from the current 65% to less than 50%. In this I'm trying to diversify and leverage while not denting my current equity corpus.

Hello everyone,

I have been working for around 13 years now. I started my investment journey around 11 years ago. Over 11 years have seen 3 market corrections. 1 major and 2 minor. Seen demonetisation, GST, covid, Russia war, middle east war.

Inspite of all this was able to create a 8 digit portfolio. Hit my first 1 Cr 2 years back.

I have been able to consistently able to hit 35% CAGR in my investments from past 11 years which includes equity, mutual funds, ppf, FD, etc.

At my work everyone asks me for financial advice and I also have helped more than 100 of my colleagues in starting their financial journey. People are quite happy with my advice.

But now I want to get your advice on how I can productize my advice so that I am able to reach people at mass who could benefit and also start their investment journey.

Happy to get your suggestions and advice. Please note I don't want to start a financial advisory firm as then I can only reach or cater to max maybe 200 people.

My thought is to reach 3-5 lakhs individuals.

World markets crashing. Monday came for my portfolio as well. Look at the loss. What do you guys think will happen in the next few weeks?

I think we are heading up. I can't see any sector that can pull the market down. We are in an uptrend and unless 21200 breaks on Nifty, we will remain in uptrend. Global cues are fine as well. The US market is undergoing a pullback and it should be contained around 4-6%.

Coming back to our indices. 
Oil, Energy , PSU remains the strongest.
Metals, IT are in good structure.
Realty, Infra are also doing the right thing.
Auto remains the consistent outperformer First Maruti and yesterday M&M broke out.

The problem area was Nifty Bank and it has started to do the right thing. SBI cannot lead NB higher HDFC, Kotak needs to chip in now. NB is a Beast. If it starts finding its feet, a much higher level will come for Nifty.

I have been booking profit for the last 2,3 weeks and have raised 40% cash. Now i have started deploying it. I have picked up 5 names from this list.

I have a few other stocks on my radar. I want to build new positions for eg.in M&M. But i will wait it out. I am not going to chase any kind of breakout. I want a pullback that will shake a lot of people and then I will get in. If stocks want to just fly, I'll let it fly, I won't chase anything. I want odds on my money at this stage.

I also picked up Nifty Futures yesterday, a lot of people will find it difficult to build newer positions atm as the market is stretched and rightly so, it is stretched. But the best of the rally happens in the stretched Market. 

I don't mind if i am wrong. I have my stop losses and risk management rules to protect me. I follow a certain process and i will keep following it.

I have finally hit my first milestone of 1cr in mutual funds after 7 years of investing. 
(Including a 2 year break in the middle when I went for my post grad)

This verified screenshot is from one of my trading account. The capital at the time this portfolio was deployed was ₹50 lakhs, starting in mid-October 2023. It has already generated returns of over 52%, with just over a month remaining to hit the target of 55-60% for the year. This reflects both gross and net profits. I invested in a few good mutual funds in this account and pledged them to generate trading capital. The returns from these mutual funds are additional, and I am using them to offset all government taxes and charges. Additionally, I never carried any positions overnight; this is purely day trading, using sound risk management principles.

PS - For the haters: I’m sharing this to show that these results are achievable. And yes, for me, 35% over 5 years is insufficient. You can call me "kitty aunty" or say I’m not an investment banker, but the facts speak for themselves.
