The FAANG and unicorn employee salaries for even 2-7 YOE engineers is quite insane compared to the average Indian employee pay in other sectors of the economy. The average SDE2 at these companies makes 50+ lakhs per year in compensation (not “CTC” but real money) The average SDE3 makes 80+ lakhs which is frankly insane. What are you guys doing with all that money?

I don't know if I'm right or not but I feel that software engineering in India is becoming more of "How to get into FAANG" rather than actually learning skills. Whenever I open LinkedIn all I see is "What I did to get into FAANG" "My life in FAANG" "But this course to get into FAANG" And the most fucked up scene is people are quitting there jobs at FAANG to create content to get into FAANG. I'm so sick of it now. Whom is to blame here?

With Fraud Shamani and Chetan Bro-goat following him, they promoted a scam Startup Conference in Noida stating you can raise funding there, that too within 3 days. Turns out you have to pay 💰 a boatload of cash to get into the conference. Now it turns out to be a scam when the organisers fled away with the money. It’s a pity that people follow these charlatans who masquerade as superior beings while their true character is revealed in moments like this..

I can't seem to relate to much of the non-FAANG junta out there. I mean I have a cushy job with probably 0.1% pay of all SWEs(pretty much like all of us do). But these cookie-cutter roles have been taking a mental toll on me. Like I am getting paid but I feel a little purpose-less. What am I gunning for in this life? All my life I wanted to go to a good college to get into a good company. In college I wanted to get a good codeforces rank so that I could get into FAANG. Now that I am in FAANG I have nothing to look forward to. Any of you all feeling this way? Because I don't see myself offer-shopping and feeling much happy about that either.

Recently i was talking to my senior just for fun and wanted to see what exactly is this whole thing So he paid xxx Rupees to the person for a Call 1:1 and he asked if I'm having 2.5yrs exp I need to switch to faang This guy '22 Passout says I will give you a roadmap for 6 months you need to pay 23,xxx Rupees I will give you a referral in my faang (He is in one of them) I have the roadmap I will make sure you learn LLD My senior has 2.5 exp in a startup that was listening to him and eventually said I'll think about it and ended the call Someone who has just entered is giving advice like they have worked for 5-6 years I've seen students in college start topmate and they are in top1% stuff Do these things are really required And Ego of those is such high They are not realising achieving faang is part of life not the whole life

Every Tier 1 graduate working at Microsoft or Walmart posts their own pic in some Manali hillstation and give 400 lines of unsolicited gyaan, which virgin btech 2nd year students cant help but drool at. I get it bro/sis, you mugged up 800 LC mediums and Microsoft came to your BITS campus and picked you up because you solved a system design question in the interview which scales infinitely for infinite users. No, i dont want to enroll is PrepCracker's System Design Cohort for just Rs 69,999 and replace Hotstar's CTO. Folks like Arpit Bhayani and Addy Osmani are the only reason I open linkedin to actually get some ground level reality of how to be a better SWE, but all i see is bhaiyya didi telling me why my resume is not getting selected because i didnt pay Rs. 1,999 for their Topmate Resume Review session. Due to them Twitter is full of 2nd year dimwits who think swe is the only path to liberation and their bhaiyya didi will be their guiding angel. They won't.
