I'm Rahul Krishnan, Founder of Bold Care. Ask me anything!
Hey Grapevine,
I’m [Rahul Krishnan](https://www.linkedin.com/in/rahul-krishnan-boldcare/), Founder of [Bold Care](https://boldcare.in), the **#1 men’s sexual wellness brand** in India (yes, I said it).
I’m pumped to chat with you about my journey—from smashing taboos to getting **Ranveer Singh** on board as co-founder, and yeah, bringing **Johnny Sins** from internet to Indian TV (you’re welcome). Whether you want to know how to build a D2C brand that actually scales, my secrets to viral marketing, I’m here for it all.
Ask me anything (except for OTPs) - I'll be back at 7 PM to drop some truth bombs!
P.S. Got some killer stories lined up — interrogate me, I'll give nothing but the truth :)

Hey! First things first—what do your stats say? Does size really matter? Asking on behalf of my friend, Joe Biden.
Hi man
Thanks for doing this. How big is your team? How did you come up with the idea? What are some categories that you want to launch next?

Bro, how tf did you convey your startup idea to your parents? 😂😂😂😂
Esp around that TVC
thankfully my parents were pretty chill about it, all of our parents actually. I was working in Chennai and my parents were visiting for a wedding when I told them and their first question was if I was going to do this part time to quit my well paying job lol

If budget and consequences were no issue, what's the craziest marketing stunt you'd love to try?
Hey ,
Big fan of your brand and the crazy ads that you do (Ht to Tanmay Bhat for the Johnny sins one) and viral tweets on X.
Few questions for you -
1. Why did you decide you wanted to take up sexual wellness as a problem to solve? What did you see around you that made you think of this?
2. Any plans to focus on women's sexual wellness as well? If not, why? It's not mainstream right now in India (atleast not at Bold Care's level). And what was your reasoning to start with men's sexual wellness products than women's?
3. What are the top 3 problems you are solving now for your brand? Why are you excited about it?
4. How did you convince Ranveer Singh to get onboarded with this idea and what made you think of him in the 1st place?
1. We were working on a hyperlocal startup called Remedi, sometime in 2014ish. When we were doing that, almost 25-30% of our orders were for sexual wellness products. While that didn't work out, when we started thinking about problem statements to solve, we explored this first and spoke to a lot of andrologists who told us how many people have faced some sexual health issue in their life.
We just built around it and here we are!
2. We started with men's sexual wellness because it would've been easier to build a brand because we will be able to think of brand positioning POVs quickly. What messaging, what brand tonality would work, all of that would be a lot simpler for us. Solving for men is a tougher problem statement to solve for, primarily because men don't openly talk about a lot of issues that they're going through.
3. There's too many problems that need to be solved and they're all top priority xD And the fact that there are so many problems to solve that excites me the most, each problem solved is a dopamine hit.
4. Collective Artists Network played a huge role in making in happen, we were in touch with them to explore this route and they facilitated the entire conversation. Working with Ranveer was a slam dunk because he vibed perfectly with the vision we had for the brand and for the issues we were trying to solve.
