I'm the top performer in my team but keep getting passed over for promotion. At what point do you confront management or just move on?
Before any of this happened in the first place.
I don’t believe in recognition anymore.
You need to have a transaction with your manager.
What am I going to get for my work? Only then I will start putting in the work.
It also clarifies one other thing, what according to him is being a top performer, so that they can’t change their tunes later on.

But I think that is only one way or seeing towards it because in future if you decide to go with a different job at that point of time if you are at a higher position or you have good recognition that is what gonna matter for your new salary
So I think in order to get new salary both the previous salary definitely depends but the position you were in also depends

I think if you're the top performer of the team then the management knows your worth and not won't let you go so I think since you're too good with your work and it's been time then you can probably go on confronting them politely in a way it doesn't feels offensive ofcourse
I think it will work

Come with stats and proof on your performance and tell your manager you will look at other opportunities if you don't get promoted. If they really want to retain you, they will. If not, just look for other jobs.
