VC funding based on revenue multiples and profit (😂😂😂) multiples is soon going to be obsolete. Common sense says company's valuation should be summation of yearly profits it can generate till the company exists... So if reliance has profit of 8 billion $ , market estimates that it's valuation should be around 25x multiple of its profit that is to say that if reliance keeps on generating same amount of profit for year on year, it will not exist after 25 years. Now tell me, what shelf live does these VC funded startup have? I honestly don't see all these tom dick and Harry mobile based and web based startups existing by end of this decade thanks to AI revolution. People are still oblivion to what AI will do to white collar jobs Just out of curiosity, is there any single VC funded Indian startup in last 10-15 years which is immensely profitable ? Or for that matter any global giants like Amazon, Uber, Airbnb etc. which has turned profitable in Indian territory?

Hello Product manager, I was working on some b2b idea and one thing made me to research about D2C brands marketing on fintech apps through coupon cards. And i have seen D2C market getting good conversation rates than google ads. Even fintech also cracked this revenue stream because of users. But one thing i did not understand is why OLA, uber, rapido not going into ad things? When they can also provide coupon cards of brands when users completing rides? Every response will be helpful and it will be very insightful if you really work in this companies.

Everyone is raising questions about why startups are losing money so heavily But on the other aspect, do people see that the sectors which are the highest loss making have become a crucial impact of our lives? Example Hospitality, Ed-Tech,Food Tech, Logistics and Ride hailing Can we imagine our lives to go back where we were 10-12 years ago without such services? I think the bigger game is going to be get more people to use the platform, make them high intent users and get them so used to to the platform that it becomes a necessity Hence I feel they are spending money to grab the audience and then build on it I am quite sure a lot of companies are going to fall, but that is how a the world of business behaves Would love to know thoughts
