- The Indian squad for the upcoming T20I and ODI series against Sri Lanka was announced by BCCI on Thursday. Rohit Sharma will lead the ODIs, with Shubman Gill as his deputy. Suryakumar Yadav will captain the T20I team, with Gill as vice-captain. - Hardik Pandya will only play the T20Is, having made himself unavailable for the ODIs due to personal reasons. Gautam Gambhir will have his first stint as India's head coach, with Rohit and Virat Kohli making themselves available for the ODIs. - Riyan Parag and Harshit Rana have been included in the ODI squad. Parag was recently inducted into the national setup during the Zimbabwe tour, while Rana is yet to earn an India cap. - Kuldeep Yadav will only be part of the ODI team, and Jasprit Bumrah has been rested for both formats.
