These days people get internship in there second year of college and continue as an intern for 2 years. Companies don't allow them a full time position citing college regulations. I think this is unfair to candidates as they do full time work at interns compensation and position. Do you think this is justified?

Suggestions on converting an Internship to full-time

Hello everyone, 

A little context: I have full-time experience of around 2 years and actively looking for a job switch. I recently applied to a top company and got an offer to intern there for a few months. It's extremely hard for tier-3 students to get a call back from this company so the offer is a little tempting. 

I believe that this will be a great learning experience in efficient and scalable system design and implementation. As far as the financial aspect goes, the stipend alone is ~75% higher than my current pay and the perks more than make up for my total comp. However, this is potentially temporary since there is no guarantee of a full-time offer and it requires me to relocate to a new city. 

Side note, my past experiences have been short-term engagements due to both voluntary or involuntary reasons. In case this doesn't convert, will recruiters classify my profile as a job hopper?

I would love any suggestions on this situation. Thanks!

Context: I am 22 years old with a BBA degree from a tier 1 college. After college, worked as intern with a few online marketing startups for around 4-5 months, Post that joined a fintech company as an intern setting up a new vertical that they're building( part of first few hires). I've worked here for around 6 months as an intern and now that my internship is coming to an end I've been told that full time conversion is off the table but they'll gladly extend my internship period. 
Reason: performace not good enough.

I feel purely from an opportunity standpoint continuing here would be great for me as there's a lot of scope for learning and growth however what makes me anxious is the fact that this wouldn't reflect well in my CV and hence would probably be a potential bottleneck in the future wrt higher education or switching companies for that matter.

I am a 2023 passout. My first 3-month internship started in December 2022, where I worked as a Shopify developer using HTML, CSS, jQuery, and its own language, Liquid. I left it since I had no interest in Shopify. I was hired as a React developer, but instead, they gave me Shopify. My second internship was also for 3 months, where they assigned me React Native but paid me too little. I don't have the internship certificate for this. In my third company, they again gave me a 6-month internship with the possibility of full-time later. I am currently working with Node.js, React, Docker, and Jenkins. My internship has been converted to full-time now. What more skills should I explore to increase my package? Currently, I am earning 4 LPA. When I switch, can I show my previous intern experience as an experience? And can the internship in my current company be counted as experience?"

I am a final-year CS student and will be graduating this June. I have been doing internships since 6th semester. In my first and second year I used to code like 9 to 10 hours a day and learn new skills and thanks to that I was able to grep an internship in start of 6th sem and since then I am doing internships and its been 1.5 years and I have done 2 internships, one as an backend developer for 6 months and another as an ML Engineer for 10 months and I am still interning over here and I have learned a lot and have worked on many amazing projects, now the problem is my current company told that they will give me full time offer if they receive the funding in April or may and HR told me to consider this as no and now the CEO of my previous internship called me and asked me if I am willing to join there for full time and I told him I am waiting for the offer from here and he told me that he will try to match the offer but I don't want to join the older company as there the culture is toxic and I also don't have other offer to negotiate as I did not sit for on campus placement as I am getting paid more as an intern(50k per month) then the full time offers the companies are giving on campus. Now in 2 months, I will be graduating and still, I don't have full-time offer now I feel like all the sacrifices I made in my first and second years went in vain, all the hard work, consistency, missing parties and trips all these things now makes me depressed, where did I go wrong and what should I do now?

Hello everyone,  So I am an ML intern and a 2024 cs graduate, I have been doing internships since 3rd year of my engineering  and right now I am interning at an startup since 1 year and I don't have any full time offer as of now and the startup where I am interning is also not talking about full time offer, so what should I do now, ask for increment in stipend, ask for full time offer(talked to them in December, HR told will see when in April may, when we will raise funding, he also added "consider that you will not get" but I still kept interning) or keep applying at other places?

To all the senior level employees here. Why do companies take so many rounds of interviews? Why can't they judge based on 2 rounds of interviews - 1 DSA and projects and other on System Design. 

The first round is any way a bogus round I feel. Years of education, work experiences and still it doesn't say anything about my qualifications. Also, all the rounds have same questions - Leetcode medium. Then how the fuck they are helping in final decision? Any lights upon these.

When I was in 7th semester i joined as early-stage IIID startup, they said they will hire me as a full-time employee after the 5 month, after the 5 month I am asking for my full time, they said at this stage we can afford a full time employee we will surely hire you after the 3 month, and now 3 month completed and I am asking for my full time they said we will releases your full time offer letter you can join as a full time after your clg, after some arguments i said okay bcz i have just 2 month left in my btech so I said send me the offer letter and they was like ya just sending tomorrow, sending..and sending I asked the offer letter 4-5 times and he did not send said just sending stuck into the problem, now what I do I am just thinking i can definitely crack another offer letter in 1 month , but i have to start from scratch as a intern thats the problem, but I am thinking I will delete all the database all the code and everything which I can bcz I have admin access of everything cloud , GitHub so i am gonna to do it in next 2 days but I am stuck into that by what I am getting nothing but fir bhi Krna toh padega vrna yad kese rkhega ..........

I started applying a while ago on linkedin, career , etc,  etc, but I have got no responses.

I really want myself to have a offer by the month end. or atmax in a 2-3 months. What should I do? Please suggest an action plan.

Confused and bit scared need Advice

TLDR;

Had a data science intern join our team. His resume was really impressive, good academic record, had a couple of research internship (NUS, IIT), 4 papers in  journals etc. His interview was just okay, but we probably got biased by his resume which looked stellar.
This guy didn’t know very basic python programming. We gave him basic task of converting a image dataset from one format to another(very first step of developing ML model). Took a week, constantly badgered all the team members, would just randomly copy code from ChatGPT, and if it won’t work, would ask us to solve it for him. Didn’t figure it out in a week, and at the end of week, we arranged a meeting with him about the update of work. Turns out, he didn’t even understand the task clearly. But we didn’t mind him, as it was his first week and we cut him some slack. The next week, I understood that he struggled in programming so gave him very basic task. He just had to figure out a command line program. Took two days, gave the result without any documentation, and the very next day he asked whether he would get the credit of his work and that it would account for his decision to full time conversion. 
Then he started taking a leave, EVERY WEEK. We used to have scrum call at 10AM, this guy wakes up at 10:30AM, and tells that he slept late and would come to office by 11AM( we had work from office policy), and he would come around 11:30AM. Would slack at work the entire day, give him some basic task, would keep asking silly doubts, copy paste code from ChatGPT and ask us to solve the bugs. Come to office without taking bath, no professionalism at all. One day I scolded him a lot, to come at time, learn some professionalism( if he doesn’t have good skills, atleast a humble attitude and professionalism should be there), but dude had no effect, comes at 12PM the very next day, missing the scrum call again. Was scolded many times, but didn’t have effect on him. 50k/per month stipend, completely wasted.

Very recent one

He was like Hansa (remember the Khichdi show). He did one thing at one time and takes min two weeks for each. He was with us for 4 months- none of his tasks are complete. He will do no-brainer work well; bring paper, pen, and coffee.

We had Hybrid mode with no restrictions. Initially he would just take leaves and not inform. When scolded, he would message random stuff and say he will work from home. What are you working on?!

When he was in office, he would never be in his seat. Constantly call him where are you? I'm at the canteen, I am having coffee, I was out to lunch, I will not be able to do this because someone else asked me to print a paper (stupid reasons)

End of tenure, he comes to me with some marks sheet. and asks for PPO. 
I look him dead in the eyes and say you know you haven't worked in 4 months, I cannot recommend. You can speak with my boss if you like.

Obviously he didn’t get PPO, called me again after a week, asking to look into it.

P.S. I gave him full marks because no point fucking up his career. He is capable of it himself.

P.S.S. I had interviewed him and felt such a failure to have hired someone like him.
