Investment ideas for short term (<1yr)
I am planning to save some % of my salary every month and go on a trip at the end of the year. My plan is to save around 3k-5k every month apart from my usual monthly investments. I haven't planned anything yet so I am open to your suggestions.
Keep it in cash. Anything else is too risky in the short term.
Best case sweep in account.
I thought of auto-sweep but HDFC needs premium account (the one with 25k minimum balance) so I am not sure whether to go for it
If u were to ask where to put x lumpsum amount for a year then some investment strat will work. The way u wanna do, just keep it in ur account.
Fortunately, i can invest all of the money that i am planning to save throughout the year at once, without breaking my savings much. So if you have any idea, please share.
FD is ur best bet as it’ll be safe and u can get 7+% interest. Maybe more if u book in some small finance bank.
You can try putting it into debt funds or P2P lending. For a year or so they would give you more interest rate than FDs for sure.

I'm doing this for about 8 months now, saving up for higher education.
I feel it's the safest option to go for in short term
+1 for liquid and debt funds. Try ICICI liquid and savings funds. If you are ok to take risk then investing in cred mint will give you fixed 9% return.
