Folks with home loans. Do you categorise monthly EMIs under your investments or consider it separate?

It would be great to know how people are smartly investing their money? My hypothesis is we cant expect equity market to grow at 15% for next 20 years simply based on past performance. Also inflation is growing like crazy. What are your logic behind keeping the money safe and grow as well?

Every month my salary gets credited I barely spend 20% of it the rest of it is just sitting around in my bank account it's already above 5L. I keep thinking of investing it in stocks/mf but it's a lot of work 😔 What do you guys do with your salary, it would be great if you can share your investment strategy and how do you keep yourself motivated to stick to it

For folks who recently graduated and have education loan to pay with multiple small loans that family have taken. How do you all invest money and what portion. I earn around 1l per month and 30% of my income goes into loans. It’s already getting better with those small loans already paid over the course of starting few months but the problem is I am left with no sufficient amount of money to invest after deducting the living expenses. Should I wait for the loans to get over first and then start investing or just invest like 10k per month?

Seeing a lot of posts on profitability of startups and I'd like to burst some bubbles. Debt is good for companies because debt's value decreases as inflation increases. Most successful companies of today leverage debt and managing risk, not by using cash in the bank all the time. Plus inflation and money printing has been pretty steadily growing in the last 30 years or so. Elon is a good example, he takes loans against his assets and equity and doesn't take a salary. Saves tax and still has money to use. Most people take EMIs even if they can afford something in cash to have more flexibility with their payments plus save taxes. Yes, it's riskier. If things go south you can lose ownership of assets. But in a global economy that mostly runs on debt with even countries being in deficit, debt is a useful tool for those who have access to it and can afford to pay it off against other assets or cash. My startup has no debt right now but we did have debt and were unprofitable over periods when we invested more into product and growth. It's all about balancing priorities and managing risk well.

By portfolio I mean all investments like stocks, mf, pf, FD, savings, RD, real estate, lic, health insurance, bonds, efops, US stocks. I know INDMoney does it in some way and scripbox also does it but not sure how exhaustive it is. Any suggestions?

I was thinking to leverage my parents home and take out chunky 1 cr @8.6% with premise to make 15%+ in direct equity and mfs. Asset belong to my parents with some contribution from me. I feel this is a relatively low cost capital way to get initial corpus and in long run gains will payback principal. I am earning well enough to payback 0.5-1 lpm worth of emis annually Does this sound as a wise plan?
