Food, Architecture, Infrastructure, Museums

You are guaranteed to find a place of great cultural and historical significance in all of the above dimensions.

You will be teleported into a bygone era when you’re in the middle of Khan Market at the Faqir Chand Bookstore. An experience unlike the rest.

Finally, I don’t have to worry about travelling 6kms and it taking the entire day. *wink wink Bengaluru*

I've been living in BLR all my life and been living in Gurgaon for about 4 months now because of company transfer. I thought BLR was bad until I came to Gurgaon.

1) The complete lack of apathy and compassion is off the charts here. People are so individualistic and small issues turn into huge fights. One example being a guy in a Fortuner hit my Hyundai hatchback from behind and screamed and made a scene when it was his fault and the guys all around supported him, I knew limited Hindi and I had to pay money to get the hell out of the place.

2) Climate and pollution: No words here. Extremely hot and polluted.

3) Rents have almost reached BLR levels or more 

4) infrastructure: I thought BLR infra was shit but roads are non existent here and streets get water logged and stays waterlogged for 10 hours even after rains stopped lol.

It feels like a dead City with no life, depressing and a concrete jungle.

Living in Gurgaon makes living in BLR seem like heaven

I recently shifted from Koramangala to a rented 2bhk in a gated society in HSR.

Coming from Koramangala, people were approachable...youngsters and family people alike. But here, I noticed people hardly talk to each other.  No one is seen on morning or evening walks. Made me feel something is off.

Today, while speaking to a maid, she disclosed that most residents here are arrogant and very private. This society is middle class and not particularly rich.

Is this common in Bangalore societies? I was planning to buy a house in a society but have second thoughts now.

Arrogant society residents

- Bright lit, wide empty roads esp across Golf Course 
- Men in formals riding sports bike to office (honestly this is so sad, Ved from Tamasha vibes 😢)
- Fortuners whushing past, cutting you in literally zero traffic (typical Gurgaon 😅)
- There are people up and about, some at theka, many at dhabas
- Saw some people working too in CyberCity (if I have to work at 5, please let me work from home)

And the Best Airport 💁‍♀️ (they have legit won award for this)

P.S. Delhi Airport has 62 gates, mine was 60. Clocked my workout for the day 💪 😑

There's an unmatched charm to 5AM Gurgaon

Came to Bangalore to join an in-office role, the org and role is good. 

But coming from Gurgaon, I was not able to like the city. 

Some cons: 

- Extremely poor infrastructure like a tier 2 city 
- Every govt official is corrupt, police can harass you anywhere 
- You neither feel homely nor is there any vibe of a cosmopolitan city. Local politics will not let this city become a cosmopolitan startup hub. Gurgaon is so so much better. 

- Everyone just wants to loot money, everything is expensive. Rent is high, landlord deducting 1 month extra rent, unnecessarily high security amount, cook and maid everything is so effin’ expensive 

- Alcohol is expensive. 

- Good food is expensive 

The value of money is lesser here as compared to the rest of the country. 

I have a flight tonight and I am so happy that it’s a one way flight. 

I don’t mean to offend anyone, but bangalore can be very lonely and it has been so for many of my friends. 

Particularly ease of life is much higher in NCR and that’s why a lot of people move back. Those who feel otherwise haven’t lived in NCR so Bangalore is more of just a bubble for them.

Gurgaon's smog! wtf!!!

People have this weird notion that Delhi/Gurgaon isn't safe and that the folks here are as warm as an ice cube in Antarctica. Can you believe that? This narrative has been doing the rounds for so long that it's starting to affect the migration of people to this part of the world. But let me set the record straight.

Gurgaon is the real deal. It's the city with good infrastructure and a welcoming vibe for migrants. It's like the cool kid at the party, while Bangalore has a little something called the Bangalore police. Now, these folks, they've got a unique way of welcoming North Indians – by demanding money when they hear you speaking Hindi. Yes, you heard that right.

I've had not one but two laughable encounters with them. Picture this: I'm just out for a casual late-night walk at 11 PM (because who needs sleep, right?), and out pops Mr. Constable, asking for his "fee" and insisting it's against the law to stroll around at that hour. And guess what? I'm not the only one in this comedy club. Hundreds of people have taken to Twitter to share their own hilarious stories.

Now, let's switch gears and talk about Gurgaon. It's got the smooth roads, a fast track to the airport, and apartments where you don't need to sacrifice your life savings as a deposit. It's the practical choice for newcomers.

So, in a nutshell, let's keep challenging these stereotypes and celebrate the positives of each city. Gurgaon, you're the real MVP, and Bangalore, maybe it's time for you to rethink your police's comedy night. City rivalries – always good for a chuckle!
