Is Time Really Passing Too Fast Now?

It's been 4 years since covid started and all of us went into the first lockdown (24 March 2020). I just thought of this while making another post, and this has actually taken me aback. It was such a crazy time, and now it's just long gone. - We got a lot of time to be home, to be around loved ones, most of us are privileged and hence Covid wasn't bad at all. We were mostly making Dalgona Coffee, sourdough bread, playing PUBG, watching movies, etc. - A lot of us also lost loved ones. It was really brutal for those who did. And it was always scary for the rest of us. - Most of us who have been in tech saw our salaries climb the fastest. The absolute peak job market, best hikes, the world was very positive in that sense - not as much work and enough pay to enjoy - The biggest thing I've noticed: Covid got me hooked to Instagram/YT Shorts/and other social media. I feel like I used to be more aware and awake before covid. Somehow, a lot of exposure to social media/content etc. has made me just very zoned out in life. I think a lot of us have a much shorter attention span. IDK if this is true, but certainly feels like it is true. Just penning this down because I'm genuinely tripping how long it's been.

ill be graduating in 3 months, it feels like life is moving too fast and i haven't achieved a lot, what tips would you give me?

Us 90s kids lost an exciting part of our bachelor life due to COVID. feels like those 2-3 years are gone in vain. We were at the age of 25-27 yrs and started making good money. It was a good time for us to have a fun bachelor life..... and then COVID happened. Now, at 28-30, lots of us are getting hitched or already tied the knot. Got way more responsibilities now, and way less freedom. Sure, we can still have a good time, but that carefree bachelor vibe? Yeah, we kinda missed out on that. Anyone else feeling this? How do you deal with it?

Generally speaking, I'm a little less happier than I was 5-6 years back. Is this the case with you folks too? Or am I overthinking/getting depressed?

I used to be a creative guy in my mid 20s. I learned to play a guitar, could sketch pretty well and also used to work out pretty regularly. Lift has changed drastically in the last 2 years and I now find myself no time to spend on my hobbies. I tuned 30 recently and have been under slight shock that my responsibilities are bound to increase due to family and work. I had no responsibility till now and had lived a care free life. Now that I am engaged, I've realized that I need to dedicate my time for my family, my well being, my upskilling and also some to to evaluate my finances. This has also made me realize that I won't have enough time for my hobbies/interests. I badly want to learn to play an electric guitar and the fact that I won't have much time terrifies me as I need to make a choice of doing something that I love (learn to play a guitar) or doing something that helps me to live a life and pay off my bills which basically is my full time job. I might have a child in another 4-5 years and the responsibility of having a child terrifies me even more. I don't want to make a choice between being there for my child and being there for my work. I'm not sure if I'm over thinking or just being realistic but not having enough time for yourself due to work and family has been bothering me lately. I'm 30 and the fact that responsibilities are bound to increase in my life terrifies me. Is this a common and a normal feeling or is this unnatural?

Hey there, I am a fresher who started working at a company with hybrid work policy. I have been seeing many people from my company, as well as friends from other companies, who visit their hometown quite frequently. Now, I don't have a problem in meeting the family, but what I have been wondering is, that nowadays the flight tickets are so expensive (mind you, many of them live in North India), so at what frequency should one visit their hometown? How do you find the right balance between managing your finances and making time for your family?

Do all late 20s (28-29 years) men face the same issues mentioned below? 1. Parents getting old- you don't want to see your loved ones getting old 2. Single earning member 3. Staying away from parents sucks as they need us more now. 4. Paying rent 30-40% of total in-hand salary in metro cities. 5. Less friends, even if you have more friends you don't want to express what you are going through. 6. No emergency fund- Agar koi emergency ayi to dosto ko paise mangne padenge. 7. Job switch - As the market is unstable, so you're afraid to switch and get laid off. 8. You want everyone around you to be happy, as your happiness depends on their happiness. 9. Unable to express what you are going through to people around you (wife, parents, friends, relatives etc) 10. Happy Wife Happy Life - You try to do things out of the box (which is beyond your reach) because it makes her happy. 11. What about our happiness? 12. Many more.... I'm going through this now. Sometimes I feel like I should talk to a person (who is anonymous to me and I'm anonymous to him/her) and express everything that is depressing me.

I am just out of college, and while being in college I didn't feel it much but now I am in my 4th year and doing an internship. So the thing is here I see my peers along with the work also doing numerous things in life such as , clubbing, drinking alcohol, getting into relationships etc . And I sometimes feel like I am behind /leftout . I am not that much bothered about drinking alcohol but I really feel missing out of having a relationship. I am a 22 year old male never had a girlfriend but here almost all my peers have one . Sometimes I feel I need a gf and sometimes don't. So what to do ? is it late at 22 ( will be 23 in feb 2024 ) to be single and virgin ?
