Is it possible to start a side hustle while working at a startup?

I'm a marketer with 4 years of experience working with startups, corporates across different industries. One thing I'm realizing is that having a single source of income is just not sustainable anymore.

Also, I've been dreaming to go indie hacking or take the solopreneurship route for quite some time now.

But the biggest barrier has been the commitments I've got at my job.

If any of you have started a side hustle or are planning to start one, how are you balancing it with your day job?

What are the challenges you faced/are facing and how have you overcome them?

Agreed, I am planning to buy home and can easily pay EMIs but just not confident that my job will stay. Working on side hustles so that I can pay EMIs from there itself

My job was flexible, so 6 months after I joined, I got a client, then 6 months later, I quit my job and started my company.

It was hard to balance 6 months but when I knew income was consistent and I can get contracts, I committed

What did you work as? How did you acquire your clients? How did you scale?

If it would have been a MNC where you are working at, I would say try for freelancing but in startups the work pressure would be huge as it's an early stage startup, Do you also work during weekends?

Also don't MNC's have some shit rules like no moonlighting and stuff

Always wondered what they do to people who are caught🤔

What do you mean by indie hacking (

It's basically building, launching, and bootstrapping a startup on the side without quitting your day job or burning through all your savings
