Hey everyone,  

I have been working in Gojek as backend developer for the past 3 years. The work life balance have been very good over these years. Recently due to layoffs there have been reorgs and i have been moved to a team whose work i didnt like much. Also the tech stack and problem statement this team has been solving has bubbled down in terms of complexity. 

I have an offer from a much smaller series A funded startup called kutumb. I have a feeling this place will give me enough opportunities to learn as well as there is around 20% hike. Would the experienced folks suggest the switch or should i just stay put?

Did anything move after the Inmobi POSH case? It seems no update came, and nobody followed up?

What happened to all Bharat focussed startups like Sharechat, Khatabook, OK Credit, Dukaan, Bikayi, Moj? Is the sector dead?

Over estimated Indian small merchant. They don't pay a Penny extra to even their families.

Koo is shutting down!!

The Indian microblogging site Koo has shut down. Reminds me of a conversation with an ex-founder along the lines of “Startups are a hard business. But even within startups, social networks are the hardest businesses to build”

Is anyone using it still and is there any better value addition?
I had installed initially but left it soon as didn't find anything new. 
This gives me an impression that building successful product is always a tricky game and you can' t be sure even if you have all the resources.

What’s the observation about Tata Digital aka Tata Neu in the Industry? I’ve been part of it for quite some time and I’m having a feeling that the insider observations are quite different from what’s known to others. 

To summarise my observations:
1. No vision on running digital business
2. Toxic leadership
3. Very bad work life balance
4. Sub par pay compared to similar orgs
5. Poor engineering culture
6. No money to burn anymore - cash crunch
7. Lot of senior exits
8. Layoffs across levels

Basically this was a term that was coined by a lot of startups since they catered to tier 2,3 towns and beyond. Wanted to know how many of them are still doing well - business wise or atleast are still raising funds

Pick areas such as dating apps, onlyfans etc and start earning 💸💸
People don't think twice in spending money on such products, especially when in those years when your hormones are kicking off.

I heard about 2 weeks ago they were going to get shutdown or sold to some other company. Does anyone know what’s happening? I remember they had a decently sized tech team in Bangalore
