Hey everyone, I’ve been job hunting for two months but have only received two callbacks so far. I’m curious to know what’s been working for others. 

I get a sense that LinkedIn applications aren’t getting noticed, and cold reachouts to HRs haven’t been helping either (like they used to). Any advice on what other strategy I should try? I’d appreciate any and all tips. Thanks!

Have been trying to apply jobs PM, consulting, BA roles. 

I am spending hours applying with all the right approaches (reaching out people directly on LinkedIn, referrals, maintaining great profile) reaching out to co-founders, founders directly getting almost 0 responses.

Even though Literally doing all the experts suggested things 

What should I do? have been mentally drained losing confidence on myself, not able to concentrate on anything

I have applied for more than 300 jobs. And didn't get back any response. These are the jobs which I found on linkedin in which most of them have more than 200 applicants.

For context I'm a full stack developer with 2 years of experience currently working in a startup with a CTC of 7 LPA.

I tried cold emailing and messaging in linkedin.

I got two interviews after messaging directly to HR via LinkedIn.

And I'm targeting less popular startups with less competition.

Now my question is where can I find those companies
And what's the best way to reach out.

Also one final question,
I'm a single developer in my company and I'm handling the tech alone make technical disitions, design databases, architect projects, and manage deployments.
Can I point out this as a good thing? Will companies get impressed by this?

And how much salary can I expect?

Hello all

I work as a software developer at a seed -> acquired startup. Total work ex is around 1.5years. I am looking for a change now. 
Till now I have applied to some bigger companies with referrals and some through job portals, only got one call till now after applying at many of them.

I want to switch gears in my application now as I want to switch as soon as possible. The next step would be cold emailing decent startups. 

Could you guys help me with my approach to cold emailing and share some best practices? I don't have much experience doing cold emails because I've gotten previous jobs either through campus/angellist like sites.

PS: The number of calls/applications is making me a bit anxious
I've tried dropping LinkedIn connect messages to a lot of recruiters and engineering managers but no luck

So, my intern period ends this month. They said they are going to convert me to full-time, but the problem is I researched and found that full-time time salaries are almost equal to intern stipends(20k) . 

I started applying a while ago on linkedin, career , etc,  etc, but I have got no responses.

Currently I am trying below things

1. Regularly updating naukri (activity level is good but very few HRs directly contact.  Few send invites but ghost later on)

2. Sending cold emails to HRs and Engineers (very few refer, but then again status never changes from "in review")

3. Applying on portal directly

I am a '21 graduate from a Tier 1 college (old IIT) and have had short stints as product manager at a couple of startups. About a year back, I decided to startup but after a few months, realized that startup idea wasn't worth pursuing. 

Researched around a few startup ideas and finally landed upon a good one in D2C space. But the problem is financing. I don't have much saving and friends / family network wouldn't be able to finance this. I really want to pursue this idea but finance is becoming a hindrance. 

So started looking for job opportunities about 3 months back. I have been exploring work opportunities in product / founder office / EIR roles or other generalist role. 

Job hunt process has been frustrating to say the least. Getting very few calls. In most cases, people are ghosting after couple of rounds of interview or assignment. In some cases, after getting through 2-3 rounds, I got to know that opening has been closed temporarily. Most HRs don't even have the decency to give feedback. 

I don't intend to work in job for long anyway. As soon as I have the job, I plan to start working on my business idea and quit as soon as I have enough financial leeway. 

How should I go about job hunt process? I have been trying to connect with folks on LinkedIn in whose company job openings are there. Apart from this, I have been connecting with founders from recently funded startups. Naukri / Instahyre and IIM Jobs are other portals I have been looking on. Anything I should do differently here? 

Looking forward to hearing your suggestions / experience.

How bad is the job market?

Just a advice: 
  
 Never do the assignment for any company.This company will ghost you every time after the assignment or will offer lower pay / lower position. 
  
 Companies just try to get ideas via the assignment

I am looking for a job outside India(Aus/Singapore) or something remote (company based in the EU and doesn't require to be in EU) and I can work from India.
I have been rigorously applying for 3 months now but I am not getting any responses or only getting rejection emails.
What could I be doing wrong or is the market not good for this zirp-era-like conversions?

Hello guys; I have been actively applying to job/internship openings on LinkedIn (It might have reached 50+ by now) but what I get is either they ghost me, or reject me.

There's only 1 or 2 companies where I actually received a response but even they ghosted me after submitting practice assignment. Also; the rejection mail of each company is the same so I am starting to think that most of the jobs are automated by bots or something.


Can anyone suggest an active job search platform where employers post the role with the intention to hire employees, even look through the candidate's resume and respond instead of ghosting?

I have 3 years of experience in frontend. I usually look for jobs by creating profile on Naukri and expecting calls from recruiters. Also, I apply directly on company portals.

My question to the grapevine community is how should I find good companies?

What I usually do is search up great places to work list or top tech companies on G2. I also apply based on LinkedIn jobs / posts about openings and from Instahyre and Wellfound. Sometimes I do ask for referrals.

Is there any other ways to look up on good tech companies? What do other grapeviners do?

Hardly getting any calls for PM roles. Is the market really cold? Or AI rejections are taking over potential interview callbacks?? I see a 10/10 match with my profile for a JD but eventually get rejection mail even for screening/shortlisting, I suspect AI rejection is taking over. Appreciate Any thoughts and tips in such frustrating times.

I am a computer engineering student from a tier 3 college in Pune. Now that I am in the last couple of months of my 6th semester multiple companies have come to our campus but I haven't gotten an internship. How do i search for internships off campus?
Are there any tips from some experienced people like what do companies look at when giving out internships. Since last month I started applying off campus using linkedin and other websites but I am not getting any callbacks for interviews or even online tests.
Previously I haven't done any internships but have done projects which I have out on my resume.
