Just A Thought 🤷‍♂️
I was just having a smoke break after knowing that I probably might not make this month’s sales targets. Do sales people working at the companies which cater only to the rich and wealthy have sales targets ? Like I don’t think someone working at Rolls Royce or some luxury fashion brand could actually just be slapped a sales target for the month right ? I know luxury retail fashion might have sales targets but I’m talking about brands above your regular Gucci , LV etc…
Umm has to be some kind of target I imagine
Maybe it shifts from monthly to quarterly
Or from final sale to #meetings or something of the sort?
Would be a rare role for sure!

But think about it.
You work sales at Rolls Royce or some rich people only store. It’s not like there’s the masses for you to target. You have a niche audience. Your brand name speaks for itself. You have to decide who you want to sell it to., Shifts the power from the consumer to seller.
Maybe they’ve got some other metric but in just curious and how does one even get into these kinda roles.
No targets mean no incentives and hence no commission... For most sales guys commission is upto 50% of salary... Maybe RR would an exception here since the sales cycle is too long... But LV, GUCCI are FMCG in luxury retail
