Hi all I am working in Infosys from past 2.5 years I joined as fresher now I am thinking to switch for career growth I have worked in Network Operations mostly now I feel like I need to switch in development as I have gain interest in it . But I don’t have much hands on experience on development .. what should I do? Should I start searching for another company immediately or I should focus to gain more knowledge of development? Please help me out I am bit confused

So I have 2+ years of experience in tech field as a full stack developer for 1 year and as a back end developer for another year.

Now I am at a where I need to switch.
But I am not very good at DSA, I find it non interesting and a bit difficult.

Can you suggest me ways to grow myself so that I can feel confident enough to switch?
Also can I switch without DSA ?

I am a JAVA backend dev, currently in TCS with 5.5 yrs of exp. I want to switch to a Product now. My dev skills are good. I have worked in few projects. With this many years of exp, the expectations are too high now, System Design, Kafka, Jenkins, Docker and DSA on top of that. I don't know how to start, once I start preparing DSA I feel like I am missing on reading system design and other stuff. Also, I don't feel confident about my DSA skills. Are there any devs here who were very bad in DSA but are very confident now. Please share your experiences in comments. Since I already have so many years of exp, this is my last chance to switch to a good product company. Please guide.

DSA Hell

I am working as SDE 2 in Amazon, doing well for now, getting good work however i always have this feeling that one day i may end up losing job due to layoff or anything else and the thing is that in such a scenario i am not at all prepared for job change.
I never liked doing DSA or you can say i was never good at it. I did just enough to get an internship at Amazon and then got converted to full time and from there i never touched DSA again.

My question is how to get over this insecurity?

Status: 1.7 yoe | Passout from Tier 3
Position: SDE1 at a product based company (Java Backend)
CTC: 5.2 lpa
I resigned from there in April because of personal health reasons plus the work environment and the pay did not suit me well. I was confident to find a better pay as compared to how/the amount of work I got done there in comparison to my peers but unfortunately I feel lost now.
From last two months I am focussing on my DSA concepts, and now feel a bit confident to start interviewing again.

One of my concern is will this type of career break impact seriously or is that acceptable to companies.
Secondly, sometimes I also get confused on should I focus on the core subjects again thoroghly or just grind leetcode properly first and then maybe a week or so on OS, DBMS, OOPS, Java, Spring Boot (based on my last project at work).
Kindly give some assistance on time partitioning since I am getting overwhelmed in order to get myself "fully prepared".
Also pls help me with referrals, if any.

How to get re-hired

Title. I am interested in devops and cloud.I am learning it everyday and I am enjoying it whereas I have tried web dev and DSA and I am not finding it interesting. Any of you who are experienced please guide me.

I am working in a MNC and currently in a billable project but no work. I am pretty good in programming and development.
With an experience of 7months in total I am confused about should I try to switch to other companies and if yes what should be my plans for it.
Currently as I have 0 work in the project i am working to enhance my technical skills like DSA and frontend technologies.

As my pay is quite less (6.5Lpa ~48k in-hand) I want to increase it to atleast 15Lpa

How do you guys learn some new tech stack in less time, and how you all are being consistent to doing it 
I'm in my 3rd year of btech, but haven't done any tech stack in advance level,I only know basics of it.
Guide me to prepare for my internship, or projects to do and learn technologies faster.

I've turned 27, roughly 3yoe earning 50k which is low but I'm upskilling. Currently due to layoffs, AI news and just a very unhealthy state of IT things are getting very depressing and I personally feel like I've already lost or missed in life. 
People are planning to get married around me everything is so sudden. 

People of grapevine, what advice would you want to give people like me who feel lost. 
Any general advice such as financial planning, lifestyle changes or just tech advice any advice which has helped you to live peacefully and comfortably would be greatly appreciated.

Want to switch from QE to DEV

For the past 1.5 yrs, I have been working for a legacy product and hence didn't learn any new technologies. This job was right out of college and hence I didn't pick this. Entire takeaway from 1.5 yrs was 
1.  Simple Java(version 8) code (no frameworks)
2. SVN for version control
3. Dealt with millions of lines of code and hundreds of services in one single file. 

No new technologies, no cloud, no databases. 

But I am very confident and fluent in Data Structures and Algorithms ( Masters in Theory CS from top IIT). What shall I learn next to keep up with the IT industry? I don't have any particular interest towards say DevOps, BigData. I just like to solve problems.  Please advice.

Hello everyone;

I need your help. I am a Computer Science student about to reach my final year in the coming two months. I heard that we will be having placements in July and the competition is fierce since there are thousands and thousands of students looking for job/internship.

Till date; I have done frontend development and I am good with HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. I know theoratical portion of JavaScript and jQuery but get stuck when told to implement logic in problem solving. [I also know React.js but very basic like routing, states and props, etc. since I was not able to give much time to it]

Addtionally; I also did a 3month internship in this domain and know how to get the work done but technical interview may become a problem. [I got this opportunity through referral]

I will be having my End Sem exams next week and it will go on for 10-12days. After that; I will be able to give full-time to learning and will have probably 1 or 1.5 month to upskill myself.

I am planning to do DSA and Full-Stack Development so can anyone guide me on how can I become capable to compete and outperform my peers?

It's just that I think I have wasted my 3 years of college and have fear that I won't be placed since I am lagging so much.
